Title: Using the 50% discounts
Post by: Leigh S on 28 February, 2020, 10:18:09 PM
So I log into my account and I have two 50% discounts - one runs out in August, so better get that gone....

But how? It talks about a voucher code, but all I can see are two boxes that tell me what the discount is for and when it runs out - no code?

I'm pretty sure that it takes it off immediately if it's a qualifying purchase.

IIRC, I selected the voucher I wanted to use at checkout. Note some items won't be covered.

cheers both

Just went through and experimented - realised I hadnt done the 2020 Specials bundle!

Any clues on what is covered?  Only one item I presume as 50% seems pretty decent... cover any of the new lovely things?

When I used mine, it worked for a bunch of trades I bought. Obviously, sales stuff is already discounted so won't be discounted further. I suspect bundles/subscriptions aren't covered either.

I used mine for a bunch of digital GNs, and very lovely that was too!

For next year, I'll try to save up a bit in advance and buy even more! It's a good deal and a great way to explore titles you might not normally pick up.

I had the same confusion - it only asks for the code several steps in.

I bought £180 of books for £90 when drunk, and I don't know if I should be ashamed for the spontaneous splurge, or proud of the great savings.

Reminds me of the classic 50s New Yorker cartoon of the housewife coming home with an armful of parcels saying "guess how much I saved in the sales today"

Anyone had their 50% subscriber discount disappear from their account?

Mine seems to have gone walkies!!!!  :o

Likewise. Have alerted a PTB.

EDIT: It's a known issue; given the nature of what's currently going on in the world, it may take some time to be rectified, and so please be patient.
