...Will Young!

No seriously, he?s got the chin for it, he?d bring in a big new young audience into reading the comic, he could even sing the theme tune. Plus he?s bound to have plenty of free time on his hands and want to develop into acting once his singing career follows Hearsay?s in six months time. And for those mad people who think Dredd is gay, he?d be perfect.

Judge Dredd: Evergreen ? it?s gold I tell you, solid gold.

General / Coincidence ?

Last night I remembered reading something ages ago. Perhaps in the comic, perhaps in a collection, perhaps the Meg... sometime in the (early?) 90s. Was something like ABC Warriors or Nemesis. Any way there was one bit where a character was writing some sort of report or letter home about him being in Neo/New-Amsterdam and staying in this fleshpot/depraved sink-hole of humanity called The Last Waterhole...

The that struck me at the time was I had been to Amsterdam in 89 and stayed in a ... well 'hotel' might be stretching it... called The Last Waterhole. Rough has hell and on the edge of the red light district with a bar with live music.

At the time I thought it too much of a coincidence that place mentioned in the strip was not inspired by the place I'd stopped in. Anyone got any details to confirm my hazy memory?

When I was back in 'dam a couple of years ago I tried to find the place again but with no luck.

Comic artist and Cartoonist. Started at DC Thompson (Roger the Doger) then moved over to IPC and did a load of funny horror strips in Shiver and Shake etc...

I do not thing he did anything in Tooth or the usual suspects (Action, Battle etc)...

Got a feeling she might have been an influence on the Druham Red vs nazis strip in the Meg.

First saw her in Bryan Talbot's Luther Arkwright, but the character's got an interesting history...

That mad german 'Plastinator' anatomist bloke is gonna be do a live disection/autopcy on a human cadaver that is open to the paying general public.

Unfortunatly it is already a sell-out but C4 are going to be broadcasting at 11:45pm tonite (Wednesday).

I was a bit stunned by the news of this (on the ever reliable Richard and Judy) and I'm too sure if I'm gonna even try to watch a unique broadcasting event... assuming it's not pulled or it's a stunt of some kind.

Was chatting with a friend the other day and he remembers Tharg telling 2000AD's readers 'not to lend your copy of 2000AD to your friends because the pages would lose their thrill power'

I think with more thinking like this the comic would be selling a million copies a week
