Sonic 2
It's a movie based on a game where a Blue Hedgehog sprite runs from left to right really fast jumping on bad guy robots, really shouldn't work but like the first one it does.  Was lots of fun, nice little Easter eggs in there for fans of the game, took my 5 year old daughter as her first trip to the cinema and she loved it too, she even sat in her seat for the whole 2 hours, maybe 15 minutes too long they could cut out the whole Hawaii wedding and nothing would be missed.  Jim Carrey bought it as Robotnic again and Edris Elba was great as Knuckles you get a very Drax feeling from the character.  I f you didn't think much of the first one don't bother but for my money both Sonic & Sonic 2 are probably the best Video Game moves so far.

Adam Project or The Adam Project not sure and can't be bothered looking it up.  New Ryan Reynolds movie on Netflix, he goes back in time meets his younger self then goes back further in time and they both meet his absences dead dad.  Not too bad, it's a Netflix movie so variable quality on the FX and you either like Reynolds or don't, the kid they cast to play young Reynolds does a pretty good job and overall enjoyable, I'll rate it the way Netflix let you do just a 👍 from me.

Latest series is Star Trek through and through for me, though not being the hugest Trekker take from that what you will.  I thoroughly enjoyed this season though it could've been a couple of episodes shorter to cut a bit of filler it was good to get a season without a big bad and just voyaging where no one has gone before.

Ahh of course Arrival maybe I should have fact checked first, I do sort of remember Contact from years ago wasn't too bad iirc

I'm enjoying season 2 so far but yeah the whole synthetic thing is a bit of a dud, iirc they said his new body would be exactly like his old one and even due in a few years like a normal human body, makes me sad I wanted to see Picard doing backflips and bending metal with his bare hands 😁😁
Also if you wrote of Discovery last season give this season a go I think it's much more like old Trek and less Starwars Trek, their mission is to actually boldly go where no one has gone before!!! Though it does seem to be ripping off Contact (is that what the movie was called with the Squidly aliens and the Lois Lane made by the guy that did Dune??) tis good now

All of us are Dead

Fuck the Koreans are really knocking it out of the park when it comes to genre stuff.  Another top effort up there with Squid Games, best Zombie show I've seen in years like a long form Train to Busan (which gets a name check episode two I thin it was, just as I turned to my missus to say this could really be set in the same universe as TTB the characters bring up the movie when discussing Zombies 😆) and a wonderful mid season twist the differentiate it from common Zombie outbreaks
the virus is learning and suddenly intelligent Zombies
.  Nice long episodes too so plenty of time for the show to breathe and build character so as they start being offed you really feel free it.  Only half way through but have read that the series sticks the landing too.  On Netflix if ya got it

Up to episode 4 of Peacemaker, rather enjoyable if you like James Gunns style.  Lots of lol moments but also has a fair bit of heart.  John Cenna is great in it and the rest of the cast are great too with Vigilante a stand out especially in episode 4.
Also has one of the greatest opening credits ever 😁

Episode 2 always great, especially liked it when Morrison went Once we Were Warriors on the bikies in the bar (if you haven't seen it or don't know Once we were Warriors also known as What becomes of the Broken Hearted in some regions was Temura Morrisons break out roll, watch it if you haven't he is a beast of a man in it who loves to booze and brawl and it's a god damn tragic movie we'll worth a couple of hours of your life).  Back to Book of Boba fett it fricken great I'd even say I'm enjoying it more that The Mandolorean.

Finally got out to see Spider-Man No Way Home, nothing to say except it was f'n brilliant.  Tom Holland is a great young actor and really brought the feels when they were needed.  In fact it was well acted all round by everyone.

Ghostbusters Afterlife, absolutely loved it nostalgia done right.  The original Ghostbusters is one of my favourite films ever and this belated sequel hits all the right buttons for me unlike most recent late sequels (cough Matrix cough) truely feels like an earned sequel and not just a cash grab.  Being honest I really didn't mind the reboot from a few years ago but this one shows how poor that movie was.

We'll I didn't mind the final episode but they have made some serious changes from the books that may cause some major issues further down the track.  Still I was on the edge of my seat through most of that and the missus who hasn't read the books liked it.  Here's hoping for a bit of course correction at the start of next season which the issues they had after the actor that played Matt left the show and has now been recast.
One thing I really didn't like though
having Nyneve get burnt out and killed by a he one power and then bringing her back to life it's a big point in the books and particularly at the end of book 3 you can't cure death, even the Dragon the most powerful chaneller ever born can't do it
Android/Mother, nice little character Sci-fi, wants to be Children of Men but couldn't even come close.  Still did enjoy it if enjoy is the correct term to use, had a depressing af ending though.  Worth a watch if you don't mind getting depressed

Well he first couple of books were written as a bit of a homage to Tolkien but after that it does do it's own thing, the whole post apocalypse side of things isn't really important that it is our world it's just an aside that things used to be much better and more advanced than the darkish ages they live in now (in fact I'm not sure if it is ever explicitly explained that this is our earth in the far future).  I'd say give it another couple of episodes Jim and you'll know that f you'll want to stick with it, just think in this first season they we going to do a couple of flashbacks one to the Aeil war and one to the age of legends which should help bring it out as something a bit more original than it seems at the moment.  I loved episode 4 and am really enjoying it now can't wait for some of the big book moments to be put on screen.
