Not sure who handled the redesign - I think it was probably design droid, Steve Cook, though ISTR Rian Hughes designed a number of typefaces, icons and logos around that time. Pretty awful revamp, though, and even though it fitted well with the design of the comic at the time I'm surprised such a weedy logo was given the go-ahead.

Amstor: I actually think it suits the artwork on that page, more than the old one would. Having said that, Book of the Dead wasn't that great was it?

Was the Meg Dredd logo the same at that time?

Bring back the classic logo if you must, but please, oh god, please, redraw the judge badge first. The chunky letters are great, but the badge is horribly dated and not even that well drawn anyway - didn't that eagle design go out the window around the time Dredd became Marshall of Lunar-1?!?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some Mighty Mike pout... just that for a loooong time now, JD's lips have been non-existent!

Actually, come to think about it... since Origins is all 'bout the lead up to Baby Dredd, I guess that retro style WOULD seem more appropriate. Carry on.

Yes, bring it back. Best .. Logo.. Ever.
Used to love those centre spreads with the logo taking the left hand margin area.
