I was just wondering if anyone could provide any help or advice on hosting websites.
Basically, I'm going to put together a small website and was wondering if anyone could advise where to put it on the web......ie - are there any recommended free domains, or is it worth paying for space (and if so who with)....
As you can probably tell I'm a novice at this, so any help appreciated!
Check with your ISP to see if they've supplied you with any free webspace. Failing that, you could get your own webspace. If you don't have free space, try 1&1. They're reliable, and pretty helpful.
Example: my credit card expired before my domain name did. Rather than just kill my domain, they extended my time, and emailed me, giving me time to update my card details without interruption to my sites. Nice!

This site seems alright for finding free web space.
Freewebspace.It lets you set what condition you want or dont want and has reviews to give you anidea how good each service is.
