She's right you know! Since I started lurking, nobody has been even slightly mean to me! In fact, I may never post again!!

Aw, shit.
No, I think this has become a really sweet thread. Just wanted to say I still love you all, even if I have become too lazy to type...

I have to say, this seems like a bit of a hate-fest. Yes, he's a nasty guy, but if you didn't know him, the gays-mutants points aren't that bad, and the rest of the letter is just a bit silly.

If you didn't know him, it probably wouldn't have been mentioned..... Maybe.

Hi there MS! Yes, this place is just a free-for-all really. So long as you behave reasonably, people will embrace you, and you'll make a lot of amazing friends. There are loads and loads wonderful people on this board, and a couple of not-so-wonderful, and a couple of downright EVIL souls - I'm looking at you Trout ;-)!!
Everyone's very accepting, and we talk about... well, nothing really. And everything. 2000AD mainly, obviously. Just jump right in, and you'll quickly get into the swing of it!

Look forward to chatting to you!

I quite liked a game I played recently, about freedom fighting.... Hm... I forget the name, but you had to build up a resistance army gradually and take a city (new york I think) back from the soviets... Lot of fun and very detailed, strategic gameplay - was quite surprised, as I'd been expecting blasty fun and blasty fun alone!

Starsky and Hutch always made me laugh... But not in the way this trailer did. I don't think you could do a 'serious' update of it, it'd be far too cheesy. I prefer this mild self-parody, like Adam West's Batman except waaaay watered down!! And s'long as there is a serious plot in there, it should be ok

I always found that Meet The Parents was more like that. And it wasn't as funny as the trailer! Felt a bit let down by that. This looks good, and I couldn't tell you the exact plot beyond mismatched-cops-foil-bad-guy, but that was going to be it anyway wasn't it??

Ok then:
Bou, what is a good image to draw as a valentine's gift if you can't *actually* draw?

Whoa, whoa, woa, whoa!!

I'm away for what, two weeks? And the board has almost been destroyed!! That'll teach me. Reading through a few of the other threads, this 'rc' is obviously a total prat, and I killfiled him without thinking twice. If he's caused people to leave and caused some of the bonds here to be weakened, then it's a real shame. I've missed all this, so I'll continue to post here when I can, and I hope that people won't leave.

He's just a silly troublemaker, ignore him!!

(I'm back by the way, so hi all)

Hi everyone
This is just basically to say 'thanks!' for the messages of support after my fire a few weeks back. Special thanks to several of you, including Wooly, Proudhuff and King Trout for their spectacularly generous gifts! I shall certainly 'pay it forward' once I'm back on my feet properly. In Trout's case, an inexplicable pack of Trebor Mighty Mints was in there too.... I'm still trying to figure out the meaning of this utterly bizarre phenomena!! Seeing a pile start to build again (and getting to re-read Halo Jones) has made me decide to get off my arse and replace things, instead of just abandoning it. And once I'm done with things, I'll make them available here for free, obviously, as part repayment for these wonderful gestures!

Thanks guys, you helped me through a difficult time

If you come over with your dad tomorrow, you can tell me EVERYTHING you rememeber and we'll have a search using key words systematically. And ask your dad, he's an encyclopedia for obscure films!! Was the demon in a crystal or something? Cos I have an odd memory about something with a demon in a crystal that acted like a prison... but then again, maybe not...

Perusing ebay I found some fella selling things that are pretty cheap - and not long left to go, only a couple of days...
I've actually got them already as they're among the books I bought from Wake post-fire, but I put in a bid anyway. You can never have too much tooth!! This should take you there:
