As Hugh Jackman tweet this new image, as it will be his last time as Wolverine, some rumours it maybe be Old Man Logan. I would be glad if it happens as that was great story!

I kinda hope not, as this should be Jackman's default career revival movie in 20 years time.
Marvel will likely once again own the rights to the onscreen X-Men by then, so we can have the authentic adaptation with inbred Hulk offspring and a white haired Jeremy Renner too.
Trailer would be out soon, and yes this film would be Old Man Logan loosely.
I could certainly dig Richard E. Grant as Nathaniel Essex.
Old man Logan my arse. Superb story that will not be filmed, no matter how much I wish it would be.
Remember that the last Wolvie film was supposedly based on the Claremont/Miller japan story, and in actual fact was not based on it at all!
How about Civil War? Great film, but not based on the book.
So don't hold out too many hopes for a proper Old Man Logan. Hopefully it'll be good anyway...
Now it called Logan

The hand of Wolverine clone (and current holder of the mantle in the comics) X-23, apparently.
Is that Donald Trump without his wig?
the one with the tiny hand!
Come on Goaty, the trailer has been leaked, what's taking you so long ;)

I'm doubly biased, as the Cash version of Hurt is in my Top 10 favourite songs, and I've always had a soft spot for Wolvie, but this does look fun. Especially with the future Picard from 'All Good Things' on board!
Mark Millar is a commercial beast. And what made Old Man Logan work was off-setting the tired/one-last job cliche with curve balls like driving through Giant Man's skeleton, Spider-Girl's evilness and the whole world divided up by Villains. Even the Spider-Van (?)
This just looks plodding, dull and we've seen it all before.
After Deadpool and Spiderman turning up in Civil War - this looks a bit dated now.
I'd watch that.
Certainly the first X movie I've been interested in seeing in a good few years. I like the low key look about it - could almost be a lowish budget genre movie.
Could not be further away from Origins: Wolverine, could we?
Quotecurve balls like driving through Giant Man's skeleton, Spider-Girl's evilness and the whole world divided up by Villains
I would be amazed if they don't include a few neat little easter eggs like those (but with characters Fox has the rights to).
The more this starts to resemble the brilliant Uncanny X-Men #251-252 Wolverine vs. Reavers story, and the less it borrows from Millar's dreadful Old Man Logan, the better.
Might be good but the trailer feels like a parody.
Hurt is a bit of an obvious choice (and that Schindler's List poster is dumb) but when Patrick Stewart showed up I was sold. This looks like it's got a nice tight focus - not bad at all for a Wolverine solo movie!

They should have gone with I Walk The Line, like the
Stranger Things Power
Rangers (https://youtu.be/NyuE-uSK4T4) trailer did...
Final trailer...? It about that girl.
Looks good.

More superhero films should have neck-stabbing.
The Mark Millar influence is strong in this one, from the Old Man Logan starting point of the script to the HitGirl riff of X23, though there's going to be some cognitive dissonance for anyone taking an interest in the character based on the movie outing, as the comics went heavily down the route of oversexualised cheesecake artwork as some sort of bizarre counterbalance to the character's origins in a cartoon show. Shades of The Last Of Us, too, with one shot in particular looking to be a rather heavy coincidence if it isn't a direct homage.
Looks good.
Really like the look of this from the new trailer. Pretty violent and sweary!
Looking great so far.
Good that they ditched Johnny Cash for the trailers.
Excellent

Reviews out and it all good for Logan
Just got back from seeing this with Dad (he's 70, I'm 43). We both absolutely loved it. Easily the most enjoyable comic movie since Dredd (high praise). This film has REAL heart but moves like lightning when it wants to. I'm sitting here in the pub now taking it all in over a Guinness. Wow.
All I can say without giving out spoilers is Go And See It. It's easily the best film with a Marvel connection in my book, and as I'm a huge fan of westerns you'all see some connections to a certain classic starring Jack Palance. I'll post more when we've all seen it.
Ps. I know it's unlikely that anything about this film will set next years oscars season alight, but Jackman and Mr. Stewart deserve high exultation for this one.
Even Mrs Tips is gagging for this.
Plus how good were Stewart, Jackman and guest on Graham Norton the other night. Looked like they have genuinely enjoyed working together all these years. I don't think I've ever seen as much flirting on the couch.
Stunning film! Easily my favourite from the Marvel stable. Very good performances all round!
Cheers
Saw this yesterday and it is unreal. An amazing swansong for Jackman in his last Wolverine role. The Dr is right, Stewart and Jackman really do deserve awards for their performances. It was incredible from start to finish, great story, great acting and some amazing fight scenes. It's 11/10 for me.
Just a few questions though?
Was X-24 a straight up clone of Logan? He looked different not just younger, like a bit of Sabretooth was in there ...

What was the Westchester incident? Is this something from the comicverse or just made up for the movie. I gather Professor X had one of his spasms and some people died but is there more to it than that ..
The incident, comics-wise (Old Man Logan), involved Wolverine killing a load of the x-men at the School for Gifted Youngsters (which was in
Westchester County, New York) while under the influence of Mysterio.
Film-wise, it's Charles responsible for the incident - and it's referred to in one of the tv spots in the film.....one of the reports about it, which referred to 600 injured and many deaths, ends with "several x-" and then Logan turns off the TV.

wow that was a ballsy movie, lots of heart and plenty of stabbings, probably the best X movie so far (if you dont count Deadpool as an X movie). A top send off for Jackman and Stewart but damn if the whole thing isn't a bit of a downer, what a shitty shitty world they built up. I wonder if they'll have the Ballstocontinue the X franchise with the no-names in this dark near mutantless world or will it just get re-set in another movie
The kids with Laura they're The New Mutants right? I've not read alot of the X Comic spin offs but recognised some of the names (Richter) and powers, once again what a heavy ending sad to see him go but from frame 1 I guess it was inevitable if the satabbies didn't get him the admantium would've
Saw it Sat night and I've been mulling it over since. It was, for me, a superb film. The main cast got some superb moments with my favourite I think being a quiet monologue from Patrick Stewart that almost had me in tears. As an actor he just gets better and better.
The action sequences are as brutal as they could get away with and I reckon that Johnny Cash has had some serious downloads this weekend.
I thought it was genuinely inventive in the (15 certificate!!!!) action scenes and bezerker moments but:
1) All 3 villains were as dull as they get. Machine-arm man, scientist and the one I won't mention. Dull dull dull.
2) This doesn't help progress the x-men movies at all. I'd love to have seen THIS wolverine interacting with the team
3) It dodged the CGI bullet but just replaced it with a fourth scene of heroes being chased by armoured cards with gun mounts on them.
So long Hugh Jackman. So long Patrick Stewart. Lets do something fresh now.
My review

Enjoyed this very much.
Saw this with Subtitled version today, loved it! One of best Marvel films! Hugo and Patrick is so great in it!
Thanks Dave, I think I just accidentally spoilered myself for Old Man Logan. I assume that's the big reveal as to why he won't fight anymore.
Damn my insatiable curiosity.

Oooh bugger...forgot about that being a later reveal in the comic, sorry. :-X
Saw this tonight, thought it was fantastic. Patrick Stewart was brilliant in it.

Patrick Stewart was brilliant in it.
Wasn't he, though? I loved his swearing, for some reason, like a man at the end of his faith, with hardly anything left to believe in yet finding a reason to believe anyway. Such a powerful performance, I thought, on a par with any other in cinematic history. Which is not to detract from Jackman's performance, which is equally moving (to think that Wolverine would be Xavier's final protector says so much about both characters). I'll admit to having a tear in my eye as the credits rolled.
Every part seemed perfectly judged, from Stephen Merchant's Caliban (and who'd have thought
that could ever be a thing?) to Dafne Keen's perfectly vicious Laura - the scene where she punches Logan in the face is
brilliant - and the whole tone of the film is perfect. When I get the DVD I'm sure I'll find inconsistencies and mistakes to gripe about but, after a single cinema viewing, I think this is as close to the perfect superhero film as I've ever seen. Bravo. Just, bravo.
QuoteWhen I get the DVD I'm sure I'll find inconsistencies and mistakes to gripe about
Well that goes without saying ;)
And directed want to re-release it in Black & White.
That was just great.
Magnificent performances all round, in particular Sir Patrick Stewart.
There are of course some minor niggles;
Was it really necessary for Laura and the nurse
to seek out Logan for help? They had the resource (cold hard cash) and capability to drive across a few states to the rendezvous point. It's debatable whether Bad Guy Inc. would have ever caught up with them without Caliban's tracking skills.
I'd have preferred to have Laura
remain mute until the final lines; "Daddy" / the eulogy.
.
Anyway- possibly the best comic book movie of all time? For me, yes.
Just saw this (Prime member rental for £1.99; a bargain!) and boy did we enjoy it.
Freshest take on super hero for years; wearing it's Dark Knight and Shane influences very heavily but no worse for that.
Managed to subvert tropes without getting into too much bathos (I looked it up) and all of the leads were great.
My only regret was that the scene with Patrick Stewart smiling at what a great night he'd had segued straight into an action sequence with barely any time to mull it over.
Actually my other regret is that this baton won't be picked up by other superhero movies. It's too real and grim for summer blockbusters.
Ps: My X-men knowledge is really limited but if it was full of continuity and "Canon" mistakes... who cares.
