My wife Edie Nugent and I have been meaning to read through the whole of The Adventures of Nikolai Dante from beginning to end. So we decided not only to do that now, but also record it as a Podcast. Because social isolation for 12 months makes you do ... possibly regrettable things. So if you're interested in me recounting all the nitty-gritty details that I remember poorly from 20 odd years ago, coupled with a progressive American take, then this is the PODCAST FOR YOU!
If you want to read along but don't have all the issues in question, then these nice people will sell you them for a reasonable price
We're releasing it as a special sneak preview exclusively for this message board, with not one ,but TWO episodes of the Podcast online for your amusement. Please bear in mind that we're new at this , so there are likely to be some issues that we haven't ironed out yet. Feedback is welcome. Here or on Twitter @podTGDR .

I want to thank you for creating one of  my all time favourite stories. Will be listening....
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Excellent! I've just finished my own Dante reread courtesy of those lovely Hachette hardbacks so it's still fresh in my mind. The creator interviews and recollections in those were always a good read, so I'm looking forward to listening to this queuing up dozens of episodes of this that I really am going to listen to when I get a minute. (I feel shamed when my phone passively-aggressively tells me it's stopped downloading new episodes of my favourite podcasts because I'm clearly not interested in listening to the ones in the queue, so I don't know whyI bother, you ungrateful human.)

I'll definitely be having a listen to this.  Thanks for doing it!

What a splendid idea. I've recently enjoyed the whole thing for the first time thanks to the Hachette collection, so looking forward to these.

Yep just about to dig in and Episode 1 isn't there. Episode 2 seems to be there okay though so I'll try that for starters...

I've re-uploaded Ep1 again and it's working now.

Good to hear 'cos I just listened to Episode 2 while doing some stuff around the house this afternoon and its a fascinating listen. It great to hear the insights from inside one of my favourite, if niot my absolute favourite 2000ad strip - and therefore one of my all time favourite comics full stop. Wonderfully detailed, Edie is fantastically insightful and obviously the conversation is relaxed and there's chemistry between the 'presenters'.

I'll defo be going back to listen to episode 1 but I'm actually looking forward to episode 3 more. For some reason I'm really REALLY intrigued to hear what one of the creators thinks when someone else takes over their part. So looking forward to how you feel about other artists work on a creation that's clearly very important to you.

Brilliant stuff and thanks for resurrecting episode 1.

Listened to episode #1 and really enjoyed the easy banter. Love: space egg, chess horses. Also fascinating to hear how little feedback the creators were getting from editorial - sounds a little "The Man From Del Monte ... He Commission Another Series".

Random synchronicity: I'm Scottish and am married to an American who's younger than me. And your accent is sounding a little bit Ross & Cromarty, Simon - am I close?

The long tongues of the Imperial Seductri (sic) ... reminds me of a Kevin Bloody Wilson song called "Breathe Through My Ears". Deffo NSFW lyrics!

Pansexual? (As a label for a reinvented Dante.) There is that thing with the bearded lady in a future episode.
