Hard one to judge this month...

1: Kerrin 01

2: Mike Carroll 01

3: Tulkas 01

HM: Just about everybody, but especially Supersurfer 01, Larf 01 and, of course, Bolt 01. But, if only one can be chosen in the HM category, then it's going to have to be Larf.

I'm going to be true heathen here and proclaim my dislike of arty foreign films. I'm not talking The City of Lost Children or Pan's Labyrinth here, but that utter cack channels like BBC4 show. Movies where bad-tempered, sultry women with hairy armpits shag, sulk and smoke their way through some painfully dull black and white world aided by an unshaven troglodyte in a white vest whose only possessions in the world are a comb and a moped. If I wanted to watch boring crumblefrapp like this I'd stick Eastenders on the telly, take my brain out and at least be amused by the pretty colours.

Where my club? Need go hunting now...

Quote from: "Kerrin"Starship Troopers 2... Unfuckingbelievable.

An then there's Starship Troopers 3. Better have some progs with you to read while it's on.

Judge Dredd (probably the best thing about the movie, the kind of tune that sticks in your head for days)

Last of the Mohicans (uplifting and, Like Dredd, often used in programmes like Horizon, when normal hyperbole just isn't enough to cut the mustard without being underlined by orchestral extravagance)

Alien (proper spooky)

True Romance (steel drums, lovely!)

We Were Soldiers (or was it Black Hawk Down? I forget)  (Lay me doon, in the cold, cold groond...)

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? (Down in the River to Pray...I am a Man of Constant Sorrow... etc)

Fargo (you know it's true)

The Blues Brothers (do musicals count?)

Superman (hairy neck-tingling effect)

Dambusters (but of course)

Yes, it probably should have been Dwedd, but I couldn't be bothered altering the logo  :(

Here's another, anyway...

This compo has got me thinking darkly thoughtlets.

Well, at least it can't be as bad as the first one... can it? Oh Lordy.

Going to be hard to pick favourites this month, that's for darned tootin' sure.

Profuse apologies to all involved... (especially Mr Staples).

I'm not sure whether I'm quite getting my head around this compo...

The most horrid death I could think of... Oy! Stan! Nooooooo!

'Nuff said. (Who is Nuff, anyway, and what did he say?)
#11982
Made this a while back, but I think it fits here.

I'll have a think about some more...

Quote from: "paulvonscott"I'll try and have a look for that winter special, L.Shark is after.  No idea when I'll get to em!

Thanks, I appreciate it. And don't worry, it will be well looked after in a Thrill-friendly environment.   :ugeek:

Well, I'll continue buying it as I don't drink (can't afford alcohol, need money for progs and megs). If it proves unpopular, they'll drop the graphic pamphlet anyway and go back to the way it was(ish). The only thing that'd give me pause would be if they decided to give us Defoe or Black Siddah as said graphic pamphlet. Honestly, I'd (almost) rather have reprints of Space Girls or Valkyries than those piles of steaming bantha poo.  :?
