Sorry folks, I couldn't stop at a Zingle pun, it was a little Sailfish of me to Tarpon for so long. I do tend to Barbel on a bit.

No Trout about it, Judge Fish Cod be a popular choice. In fact Ide not be surprised if he made 1st Plaice. I'm not sure what I'll do yet, I'll have to Mullet over. Definitely giving this a go though, if only for the Halibut.

I'll get my coat.  :D

Yet another superb competition crammed full of excellent pieces.
Well done to Jon for his wonderful entry and also well done to Jon for his wonderful entry... Is there an echo in here?  :D
The art comp is one of the highlights of my month, weather I enter or not. It is always a thrill to see everybody's work and interpretation of the theme. All the entries (again) this month were fantastic, with many different styles and qualities making the process of choosing a winner incredibly difficult.
A big thanks to all those on the forum who took the time to vote, especially if you voted for me  ;)
And, once again, a "Hurrah!" for that jolly nice chap CrazyFoxMachine for all his efforts in bringing us all this slice of joy.

I believe that this has been one of the hardest months to judge, with so many quality entries again. I've been changing my mind even as I'm writing my votes...

1. Jon – Grand Hall of Justice.  A superb image with a great choice of colour. (I love the red/orange going into the blue of the sky.)
2. Archie2 – MC1. A masterful use of light and shadow.
3. Jon Gibbons – The Shores of the Scum Sea. An excellent, well executed composition.

HM. Albion. allied72. Hoagy1. Mike Carroll. mimikeke. All worthy of a place in the top three.

Again, I think all the entrants are deserving of praise for their sterling work.

I've just noticed what are clearly magic mushrooms in SKD's Land of the Young.  Absolutely shocking.  Scratch this drug-addled junkie from my number 2 spot.
Actually I'm tempted to put him at number 1; but I've made my decision.
These are actually the inedible Conocybe tenera (Brown Bell Caps) which are very similar looking to the poisonous Psilocybe semilanceata (Magic Mushrooms) What possible use could the druids have had for mind altering fungi?  ;)

Cheers for putting my picture on the Forum CFM, you're a star. I'll have to try and catch up with you some time and buy you a fermented beverage, prepared from the juice of apples.

  Thanks Jon, much appreciated  :D
