If anyone is interested in making a 5Mb movie based on a Future Shock script, here is you chance. The competition opens 1st November, but there are some details already up at Sci-Fi London.

Cool, somebody must have read the fanflick thread awhile back. I'll sign up for that, just as long as the boss lets me use all of works kit to make it!
Wow - would that I had the time...
Thats a really fun idea. I'm really looking forwards to seeing whta comes out of this.
Curious to find out which stories are to be done.
Easy one to do would be the Dr Dibworthy(?) one where he suddenly realsies how to time travel only to be visited by future incarnations of himself either trying to stop or encourage him - all you'd need was an old man, some false beards and a study.....and maybe the ability to film multiple images of said old man...DOH!

The second one - where he accidentally erases all space and time before tiffin - would probably be easier.
Sounds like a good way to annoy Alan Moore, though.
Must get Tharg to print Godzilla v Evel Kneivel, that way my entry would already be complete. Go on Mighty One its filmed in authentic String-o-vision, and those bastards at Cannes seem to be under the elitist notion its a "piece of crap you made in your lunch hour" coem on I could be the next Danny Cannon.
Oh right. Sorry.
Jim
My genius future shock 'The Man Who Did Not Move' would be perfect if only Tharg would take it:

There's a man, right?
And - he doesn't move.
The winnings are mine, I can feel it.
Sounds like a Stephen Hawking biography....
Animation would suit this very well. Am I right?!
Wow it's really him!!!
Superman!
Ifound it sort of amusing, though of course no one would be seen dead in Seattle wearing a Plaid shirt or worshipping Kurt Kobain these days.
--Extremely geeky crtitique of D'Israelis rendition of the Seattle skyline, including pro and con points, removed due to sad irrelivancy--
Do you think the Hawking mobile has a turbo boost so he can escape?
La Placa Rifa,
W. R. Logan.
He's finally lost it boys and girls...
It turned into a microlight type thing on the Simpsons!
(rotor not shown)
The Future Shocks have now been posted...
I think they intend some sort of animation given the choices unless you have a vast pile of money you don't know what to do with or do it in Plan-9- washingup-liquid-bottle-spacecraft-cardbord-box- robots-o-vision
And they could have chosen some better ones...
Bitter they didn't choose one of yours eh Gary ;)
Not at all mate... like I'd want a load of film students buggering up my genius. I'm holding out for Joel Silver for that pleasure...
Bloody hell, that's my Future Shock.
Bit of a shock for myself, TBH...
nice shock though?
