The South Downs. Many a time spent walking or running across this landscape. Not enough trees but i still like it.

If i can motivate myself i will get a train to Lewes and walk and run along the paths back to Brighton in the shortest time possible [its only 7 miles or so] just for something to do and some exercise and get some nature and countryside as it does my head in a bit being urbanised.

I have committed myself to doing it  now.

gotta be my daughter's roomeven when i'm not watching her sleep (you gotta make the most of these quiet times) i'll someties go in ,sit in a chair and just have many fond memories of actually enjoying some decorating for a change to putting the cot up and trying to imagine a baby in there to wondering where the hell we're going to fit all the new toys after winterval!

we also have a secret bit on worden park in leyland that i found quite by accident its secluded from the rest by huge bushes and long grass, a haven for butterflies for mini mogzilla to chase.

finally i used to spend HOURS sat in a little overgrown part of cuerden valley park in bamber bridge when i was all growing up ,angsty ,moody, windswept and interesting. they built a motorway through it though ,bastards!

peter: if you're going to do that make sure you wear some good shoes. It should only take you a couple of hours, but if you have loose shoes your feet will be killing you when you get home.

Thanks: I had that problem once with a pair of Merrel boots. They werent wide enough  as i have very wide feet.I was out walking for the day and the shoes were killing my feet.In the end i just took them off and did the rest of the walk without Shoes with no further problem as i like walking barefoot anyway.

i walked from london bridge to notting hill a few weeks ago. Took 3 hours i think, and boy i wish i'd had a good pair of walking boots on. It was the same day there was a fire at the olympic site, i could see the smoke over the city.

Carlyon Bay nr St.Austell  in Cornwall.

Spent 2 weeks here in summer of 1981.Read prog 225 on the way down , read prog 226 + 227 during that time.Life couldnt have been better and the water was as blue as it is in the pic.

And whenever i hear Wired For Sound by Cliff Richard [which i like] i am reminded of it all !
