WOW! Pros and cons of writing/art for Monkey On My Back aside, I haven't seen Mega-City 1 looking so BIG in YEARS!
Lately it's been resembling a slightly larger version of New York, but look at the 4th page- gigantic blocks, crammed together claustrophobically, connected ramps and stuff with tiny little vehicles on them and tons of flying gadgetry zooming around. Bliss. And block wars! Riot foam!
I wouldn't mind betting that the monkey ends up encased in Boing! by the end.

agreed there. i have my concerns about the style being used in certain areas.
but the mega is certainly returned in all its claustorphobic glory.
credit where it due for that.

I haven't read through all the threads relating to Meg 204 and Monkey On My Back so I don't know if it's got a mention yet but I thought that the monkey would eventually shift hosts to,

here is what happens.
the monkey goes to cal, thus setting up the classic cal epic.
the new tooth readers who are now jioning the fold consider the eopic tale was by ennis.
thuis he has a new generation who believe he is a good dredd writer.
years of poor to ok scripts are not talked off. he is seen as a leading dredd writer.

you cheeky monkey mr ennis.
but you have been caught out.

( ok i like ennis, but not writing dredd i admit it.)

PJ Wotsist's last Dredd story had scenes of a large and epic feel Mega City. I imagine most artists can't be fecked with it.
