General / Judge Dredd on Pinball Arcade
21 December, 2015, 12:25:04 PM
The Pinball Arcade game (http://www.pinballarcade.com/ ), has added Midway's Judge Dredd (1993) as it's latest Pinball table.

Currently available on Steam, Android and iOS. Will probably be coming to PS4 and XBox one soonish.

General / Countdown Sector 106 on sale atm (Android)
19 August, 2013, 10:39:52 AM
Tinman games' Judge Dredd game-book is current;y £1.76 on the Google Play Store (no idea about iOS)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.tinmangames.dredd.countdownsector106

Also, their Trial of the Clone book is also going cheap, and it's good fun (plus it's narrated by Wil Wheaton).

Games / 2nd Bone game
19 April, 2006, 09:19:20 PM
Just posting a heads up to you comics-type chaps that the 2nd Bone game (The Great Cow Race) is up on http://www.telltalegames.com. I enjoyed the first one, although it was over a bit too quickly - apparently this one is supposed to be longer (and hopefully a bit tougher). I've not played the demo yet (curse you World of Warcraft!)

Classifieds / Progs going spare
29 September, 2004, 05:19:22 PM
I've had some spare issues kicking around my house for a while, and they're taking up space. I'm willing to give them away, if people can collect them at Dreddcon as I hate faffing about with the Post Office.

Anyway:

Progs: #704-893
JD Megazine: Vol 2 #1-9
JD Law in Order: #2-26 (Until just after the Apocalypse War)
And issue 92 of 2K monthly.

Let me know if you're interested in any of these and I'll bring them along. I can probably bring them along to Shedcon too.

General / Missionaries needed

OK, some of you chaps are off to Uni this year.

So you should try to convert as many of your fellow students to reading 2000AD.

I reckon getting them to read your prog and then if they want to, carry on letting them read it for a few weeks. Then start 'accidentally' not carrying your prog around - Hopefully they'll be so addicted to thrill-power they'll rush out and start buying their own copies...

Any of suggestions?

General / Titan Graphic Novels spotted in the Works
22 March, 2004, 07:05:40 PM
I went into the Works (discount book store thingy) in Leicester on Saturday and found 4 boxes of Titan Graphic Novels going for ?1.99 - ?3.99 each. So I spent ?40... I've only seen 'em in Leicester - I had a look in both Oxford ones this morning but no sign of them, so I don't know if they'll be around anywhere else in the country - but might be worth a check.

Off the top of my head I got: 3 Marshall Law GNs, Swamp Thing Book 4, The Invisibles Book 1, Y the Last Man (which isn't _that_ bad), Hitman Book 1, Judge Dredd: Cursed Earth: JD: Judge Child Quest, ABC Warriors: Mek-nificent 7, Slaine the King, Skizz, Complete Dr & Quinch - umm, and a Judge Anderson one (Triad?), and another Slaine (The Horned God Part 1 I think). Oh and one of the Warren Ellis Stormwatch GNs (which is interesting to read after having read the Authority).

They had a pile more Dredd GNs (Necropolis, Emerald Isle, Helter Skelter), lots of Transformers too. They also had 1 copy of JD: America which my mate grabbed before I could - bastard!

Just a heads up to say that this is on BBC2 in about 30 minutes - it appears to be a series of documentaries about post-apocalyptic/future scenarios. Sounds interesting...
