For the record, I wasn't suggesting the comments should be taken out of the interview. I just think they're a bit daft.

In any case I'm looking forward to enjoying the third part of the interview. It's been interesting listening so far.

  Conversely I do have a fair chunk of stuff drawn by Jacen Burrows whose work I don't really care for, because he keeps drawing comics for Alan Moore and Garth Ennis.

I have similar feelings about Jacen Burrows. I can only imagine that there are few artists willing to spend their days depicting endless horrific scenes. That stuff is hard enough to read, let alone draw.

As for stuff I've already read- I would heartedly recommend Prophet (bizarre sci-fi with a 2000AD flavour) and Sex Criminals (laugh out loud funny).

Thirded. Prophet is an outstanding piece of work.

Ridgway, on the other hand, comes across admirably.  I'd view McKenzie in a better light if he wasn't trying to assert sole ownership at the artist's expense.

Alan's bold stance on creators' rights gladdens the heart.

How strange, though, that he didn't try to reform a system he feels so strongly about while he was still part of 2000AD editorial.  Or that he actively enforced work-for-hire practices on other creators while apparently privately trying to ensure those same conditions didn't apply to him.

From memory, Flint says something like he doesn't post here much because there are too many assholes - not all of them. None of the ECBT crowd post here anymore because they don't get on with Rennie and Campbell. 

I thought he was fairly clear about how he views everyone on this forum. It was a rather unnecessary diversion.

Finally got through both parts and really enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone involved.

I doubt even Pat Mills knows what Pat Mills is thinking at any given moment.

Great news. These were wonderful stories and the best of Ridgway and Parkhouse's work.

The irony is that Burton himself doesn't get a kicking at all in either TPO or Future Shock!. But perhaps by not being present in either, his overall contributions to the Prog, both good and bad, are inherently overlooked.

I was a bit confused about that as well, particularly in the case of TPO. Maybe Burton and McKenzie should read the book before dismissing it?

Good news. Like others here I have the single issues. I'd be interested in a hardback copy, particularly if there's some extra material, but I don't think a paperback reprint would be so tempting.

Woke up at 4am and made the mistake of looking at the news. This is a car crash. Who knows where we're all heading now.
