Quote from: The Bissler on 14 February, 2024, 11:06:12 PMWhat an amazing thread, and great to see so many brilliant conversions! Thanks for tipping me off about this, Trooper - that's quite the collection!

Thanks Bissler, my hope was more Squaxx would join in and post their own mashups old or new.
I'm always looking for tips and inspiration for my next creation.

I'm currently working on converting some Dredd minis into other 2000AD characters and should be ready in the coming months.

If you have a look in the creative common under "Does my figure look big in this" thread you'll see some 1/6th scale models as well as me mashing up some Dredd minis for Xmas decorations. Though you will have to trail through to see my mashup miniS for Dredd/Anderson and Fatties.

Look forward to the "2012" campaign

Thanks Bissler
I am on Facebook but not on Facebook if that makes sense. I like to keep my socials down to the minimum.

I'll wait until the whole lot are released then get stuck into them. As you know I have my bigger mashups I still love doing and they take precedence over the minis.

Looking forward to more of your future play throughs

Yes I'll be picking them up but mainly because I like the figures so I'll get them and try and make them look pretty 😁

Warlord are having a pitch/stall at the Lawless comic con which I'm going to so it will be good to see the pros at it and maybe get some tips

Hi Bissler it's certainly been a while. I enjoyed that play through. You have an impressive set up.

Are you delving into the new ABC warriors?

I totally agree.  Ichabod Azrael, for example, should stay as is.

Seconded

I'd add Insurrection & Lawless are another 2 B&W classics that should never be touched with colours

Started "ECHO" it's more violent than some of the Disney Marvel, a bit more on the level of the Netflix Marvel which I enjoyed more.

I'm my view the saving grace is when Fisk is on screen. Vincent D'Onofrio is a fantastic Fisk and just fills the screen

Overall it fills some down time but won't need to do a rewatch

Quote from: Le Fink on 01 February, 2024, 11:26:18 AMHear hear. I'd like a proper ending to the movie.

Having said that, a TV series of several separate adventures of Rogue wandering Nu Earth would work well too. Standalone film followed by TV series please!

A type of "clone wars" series called Tales from Nu-Earth where you don't have to have Rogue in every episode

Quote from: Trooper McFad on 01 February, 2024, 08:28:27 AMI really don't think a 1 and done film would do the story justice.

They're going to stay true to the original — they'll keep churning out films until the franchise has completely run out of steam, then they'll do a gritty reboot, then they'll try and mash the gritty reboot into the original continuity until no one either knows or cares what the hell is going on...

Nooooooo I don't relish a trip to Fort Neuro (or Horst)

What's everyone's hope for the storyline?
We know they are going down the massacre and traitor route but as fans we know this could easily be put into at least 2 films if not 3. There's so many side missions to track the traitor down I really don't think a 1 and done film would do the story justice.

My hope is there's a decent first film but the traitor just gets away and leaves it open for films 2 & 3

I also don't want to see the traitor unless he's disfigured.

Finally I don't want anymore than 3 films if it follows the massacre/traitor arc.

But that's just my wishes

What's yours?

Le Fink - Being your first con you won't have anything to compare it with however for me it's the best I've been at. I've been at a few larger ones that have the TV and film stars but they are not a patch on this (in my view) and what I hear the other smaller ones are just as good.

I have to say my first Lawless I was "star struck" even more so than the 40th bash. I don't know why a man in his late 40s at the time should be like this but the friendly nature of the whole thing puts you at ease very quickly.
Maybe it's all the Cosplayers milling about?

As Jim says it never starts dead on 9:00 - not the times I've been.

The panels are great and varied- one not to miss if they have it is the Artist Draw off.

Remember to post on here any distinguishing features/clothing so you can be spotted in the crowd.

As for accommodation if you have a lot to get signed and your budget allows I'd recommend the Hilton so you can keep returning to the room but there's a few others well within walking distance I've heard are pretty decent price wise.

Read your review and you always bring these adventures to life.

Do you write the review (or at least take short hand notes) as you go or is it all off memory at the end?

As much as you highlighted the downsides of this game I still enjoyed the read through.

Hope you enjoy your next book more and I'll look forward to the review.

Quote from: Max Headroom on 27 January, 2024, 02:16:51 PMI hope to see more of the classic 2000ad strips given this treatment.

Now there is a Rogue Trooper underway, let's see what that brings.
I second that - I want a HC web shop exclusive covers - love these editions.

Only thing is 1 a year for SD is dragging it out for us elderly members 😳😂😂
