Actor John Saxon (Enter the Dragon, Battle Beyond the Stars, Nightmare on Elm Street and more) has died, aged 83.

(File that one under Thought He'd Long Gone)

Not long gone, but you are a year late with the news.

Anyone else still waiting on this? My copy has yet to turn up.

There was an advert on telly about 15 years ago, which had CGId the cast of Happy Days into it. I remember seeing some bloke upload it to YouTube as an example of an urealistic portrayal of history due to its ethnically diverse nature. He thought there were far too many people of colour hanging around with Fonzie and the gang and that this would never happen back in the 1950s.

The advert was for the Citroen C3. Everybody in the advert was driving one.

'Tis true. Then, in the 1960s, folk made the mistake of swirling about and mixing up all of the new colours far too much, which led to an excess of muddy oranges and browns in the seventies. Took until well into the 1980s before people managed to get all of it off the wallpaper and soft furnishings.

"Changeling" child born to English nobility in the 14th/15th century, kept hidden away in a room in Glamis Castle. Grows up and escapes into Highlands. Becomes a warrior in the same vein as William Wallace and Robert The Bruce. Fights for Scottish independence alongside his friends, a Scotsman named McNulty, a Norseman called Wulf, and a haggis with a heart condition.

There are rumours that the Sleagh Maith have bestowed magical powers upon him including the second sight. Other rumours state that Seánie Beith and his wife, Red Agnes, murder passers by and drag them off to their lair to loot and eat them, but this is widely considered to be English propaganda.

When he is finally slain, it is said that he is not truly dead - that his body was carried away by the fairies to heal and sleep beneath a certain hill, until such time that he is needed the most.

McNulty cannae wait and digs him up.

I was wondering if it was actually in Necropolis. Haven't read it in ages. Yep, that's what I was thinking of.

There was definitely a story, (a Judge Anderson, possibly?), that mentioned "the third sister" and she's called something like "Delirium" or something, but I think that was intended as more of a metaphor than an actual character.

Could you add my name(s) to the condolence page too please, Jim. Thanks.

It's apparently also in the recent version of The Stand.

There seems to be a renewed interest in Doomlord over the last few weeks, it's worth noting that we did make a few attempts to do a second collection but for various reasons it never happened. Pictured is what could have been,...

He was driven to create his own work. I'm sitting here with a pile of comics: Zarjaz, Dogbreath, Whistler and more. As I opened the bag they were in, I also found a sketch of Tharg that he did, unasked, when sending me some comics.

He sent me a random sketch of Colossus from the X-Men when I bought some copies of Something Wicked once, along with a note wishing us luck putting together the first issue of Hallowscream.

RIP, Bolt.

Anyone received the Evil Genius 2 special yet? I got an email saying it had been dispatched on the 1st of April but there's no sign of it here yet.
