I would definitely buy the game if they released it on PSN, Xbox Live or the Switch.

I think it's a good read if you want to know how not to write, Joe.

I didn't like the way they played Fargo as some manipulative madman pulling the strings for a lot of the chaos in the book (even going so far as to support Booth) Really disliked the book taking place in the 2040's and they made Dredd too much of a idiot.

In what way did they depict Dredd in a bad manner? I would appreciate it if someone could give examples.

I'm more curious about how the Black Museum and Hall of Heroes still have any exhibits - hasn't the Grand Hall been blown up and completely destroyed at least 2 or 3 times?

The narrative doesn't follow the timeline from the source material, so that's not a factor that matters. The initial question remains, except for the obvious choice Fargo and Maybe's heart.

If the Black Museum and Hall of Heroes would've been featured in a game, which mementos and memorials would you select for the two halls? The museum will accommodate 15-16 items, P.J.'s heart is excluded, and the hall will house 5-8 memorials.

Henry Dubble will be the curator of the museum and will give Dredd (the player) a summarized story about each exhibit.

Judge Park notices that Inga is an android in the story The Gingerbread Man, but he doesn't go into details regarding his empirical knowledge from the Academy, nor how you detect such an advanced thing. So I'm just wondering, how does a layman detect a series 7?

I'm guessing that Justice Department's legislation for certain crimes, for example, hasn't been elaborated in a consistent manner.

Quote from: I, Cosh on 15 December, 2017, 07:29:31 AMIt has happened again here because you have misused the word 'enunciation.' This means 'the way words sound when you speak' so it does not make sense when referring to something you have written.

I appreciate the correction. I should have used the word formulating instead, or maybe the word phrasing. It's a bit tricky to express yourself in another language.

Quote from: I, Cosh on 15 December, 2017, 07:29:31 AMThe indication is that either English is not your first language, you find it difficult to make people understand you or that you are a robot.

I'm a perfectionist. I don't want to make mistakes when it comes to details—especially when I really revere the source material, so I don't care if my framing of questions comes off as robotic.

I do own the MC1 archives volume 1, so can answer adequately, and the answer is also No. Badly laid out, terrible art, basically a book full of padding and fluff. If you imagine a high school project on Judge Dredd you wouldn't be far off the MC archives.

That's good to know.

What kind of indication did you get from my enunciation of the question?

So you are saying that I can find all these essential details on the interweb? Big thanks for your adequate advice.

I'm looking for a really thorough examination of the Justice Department. Details about things like codes they are using during all types of situations with criminal character, the legislation of specific crimes, an inside look in the Grand Hall of Justice itself, et cetera. Can I find this information in The Mega-city One Archives Vol. 1?

Rebellion all ready answered the question.

Do you know the reason for their previously reluctance to licensing?

Whole suggestion doesnt feel as Judge Dredd game as much as a frankensteinian monstrosity made from pieces of other games.
Personally,I think an MMORPG would be terrible idea.

An action role-playing game is the right way to go.

Quote from: sheridan on 29 October, 2017, 07:07:52 PMNo mention is made of sectors, which is a more manageable MMORPG size, or blocks for a smaller game.  The best fit for a sandbox game would be the afore-mentioned NW Hab Zone (Sectors 301-305, depending on era) or the Pit (301 alone), as it also has a game border edge in the form of the radzone surrounding it.

You could also just block off the rest of the city with non-interactive elements that fits the context, like huge traffic jams and construction work. If the game took place in Mega-City One, I would probably use the Grand Hall of Justice as some kind of hub area.

I just want to mention that J. Dredd is referenced in Watch Dogs 2 during the mission Hacker War. The discussion refers to the tussle between Dredd and the Xenomorphs. It's pretty amusing.

Just finished a playthrough of Dishonored 2 and loved it. I enjoyed the first one a fair bit but didn't love it, so was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic this one was.

Gorgeous art direction, really beautifully arranged levels to stealth through, really interesting and useful powers and tools and alternate paths and approaches, plus decent enough combat mechanics that if you do get into a bad situation you can adapt and deal with it (always my preferred way of playing stealthy games the first time through).

A good synopsis of the game, especially about the phenomenal design and the flexible gameplay. If you like the Dishonored series, you should try the stand-alone expansion Death of the Outsider. The only really negative aspect with this expansion is its reuse of certain levels; and maybe the limited use of the fellow comrade-in-arms Daud. I really like the stealth-action genre and the overall lore in Dishonored, so I'm hoping for a third game in the series—preferably in Tyvia.
