Pretty impressed this month.

Cover : Not the best, but certainly not the worst either.

Dredd : Nice, I think Dredd actually Does come off as being younger. He's certainly more "do things by the book" than he is now, I mean, can you really imagine him shooting a little kid now?

Juliet November : Excellent, I love the way this has gone from a Bridget Jones chick flick into Carrie on acid. Nasty.

Black Siddah : For some reason I really like this, Hoping it'll turn into a "Bollywood" superhero as opposed to a mystical rant.

Family : Excellent art but the storys starting to piss me off a bit now. Who are these peolpe ? Why should I care about them ? The characters need fleshing out a bit otherwise this is going to lose its way which would be a shame cos its got potential.

Devlin waugh : Brilliantly atmospheric but is it just me or is the art looking a little muddy this month.

Sinister dexter : Cheesy fun.

Apocalypse Soon : More please, Death and Famine with the Nachos was laugh out loud funny, Lets just have a few more pages next month.

Daily star Dredd : Nice to see these again, once again, more would be nice.

Slaine : Shit-hot. Love it when Slaine bitch slaps the guy. and the story of "pluke" was one of the funniest bits of jet-black comedy i've read for ages.

Darkies Mob : This just gets more OTT by the episode, Absolute classic stuff.

TPO : One episode left - this will be missed.

All in all, a wonderfull evenings entertainment.

Battle Action Force continued for a while, then it went back to plain old "Battle", then it folded and merged with Eagle - I think the only strips that continued where Charleys war, Johnny Red and one other that ive since forgotten, any ideas ?

Prog / Re: prog 1330

Much better prog this week.
The cover : wow, a wraparound, not seen one of these for years, and frazer irving too, excelent.

Dredd/Aliens : Yeah so its all one big fight? So what - it's a damn cool big fight.

Bec and Kawl : Much better than last weeks, loved the "spinning geek kick", But I do want to see this strip become more of a pisstake of student life (albiet with supernatural entities thrown in) rather than the poor mans Spaced it seems to be at the moment.

VC,s : Bit too much technobabble this week, but that bloody big ship looks to be interesting.

Telgutth : Liked this, some very funny moments too - especially the guy getting accidently stabbed and someone else shouting "bottle that too"

Atavar 2 : Hmmmm still not impressed, but an improvement on last weeks, at least I like the art now.

Two comedy mis-pronunciations I know of:
A kid at my school who used to call Darth Vader, "Dark Vater".
A guy who used to hang around in my local comic shop who thought Boba Fett was called "Bobby Fart", and no, he wasnt joking - he really was that dim.

I'm just not a fan of American tv sci-fi full stop, yhey all come across as over glossy yet somehow cheap at the same time. Give me good old 70's British sci-fi anytime.
