So about two weeks ago I was laid off from my job of almost 10 years. I had to use my retirement fund to payoff bills to lighten my financial load. My wonderful wife seeing I've been depressed and discouraged about the whole thing took to eBay. She ordered me a Dredd helmet (not planet replicas) and a badge (from PR).

SO I found a picture of Gestapo Bob of the Cosmic Punks. Actually have what I need to make an effective costume. BUt I think it need an update.

So I'm going to start working on my costume for the next convention I'm attending. I want to go as a gang member from Judge Dredd. I'm going a little retro, some elements from the comic, and some from the Dredd 3D. Hoping to get that Lazer Tag rifle from eBay to use as my main weapon.

I'm out of town right now and on vacation. I found a comic shop and asked if they had any 2000ADs. The said no. So I asked if they had any back issues, the night before I called the bought a collection from someone. So I went yesterday, the box look horrible and heavy with water damage. I opend the box and the were crisp and clean. So I bought about a dozen for a mere $1.00 a piece. I even got the 25th anniversary prog.

So at next years Pittsburgh ComiCon Barry Kitson will be there. Finally my first chance to meet an art droid for the first time.

I know I haven't posted much in recent times, but its the safest place for me to do it. My daughter has some problems, shes 14. Right now shes hates everyone, school, ect. She said she wants to hit the wall. I said, you'll break your hand. She said, thats ok if I break my hand I won't be sad anymore. She already sees a threrapist and a shrink. I can't stand it, shes hurting on the inside and I can't do anything about. She doesn't know whats making her so sad and angry, and I do is make it worse.

There was an earthquake in the state of Virginia. I think it was a 5.9, and was felt as far north as Canada. I was traveling down the highway and didn't feel a thing. Though I was informed it made the dishes in the house rattle and caused the water cooler to rock.

So this coming weekend (6/11 - 6/12) and next weekend (6/18 - 6/19) they are hiring non-union extras for the new Batman movie. Part of which will be filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm going and hope to get a part as an extra. If I get aa part it'll at least pay for the gas to go up there.

Appearently this guy has been stealing other artist work for years. He would trace it, alter it slightly, and claim it as his own. He even has a whole list of credits that can be proved. I first heard of it from Facebook. This freaks website is http://www.robgranito.com

So just over a month away I'm trying to decide what sketches to ask for. That and I've just finished my Captain America costume. I went with the the classic red, white, and bblue shirt. Though I left the arms a solid blue. Then the mask is black w/o the letter A on the forehead or the wings on the side. I want to give it a steampunk feel, so I'll be wearing industrial goggles. Then the other changes ar black gloves, black boots, and black military BDU pants.

So I finally have an official representation of myself for Critter at Mega City Tours. I've cut a part of the picture becuase it a mystery. I hope to reveal the rest within the next few weeks.

So I finally went through and deleted everything that was Mega City Tours. Things just became to stale. So over the next two(2) weeks I'm going to revamp the site. Expect nothing flashy, I just need to mix things up a bit.

So I finally added another Tour Guide to Mega City Tours. Her name is Sara and she hails from the Cursed Earth.

I know there one or two other boarders that attend. But my quest is to  (1) find bags and boards that fit my small tooth collection and (2) to win something in the costume contest for the "Pittsburgh Pirate". Photos to follow soon. Oh before I forget, get tour guide sketches.

I'm no stranger to the board, but after my LCS closed I was was without any Thrill Power. Luckily a new shop opened and I can get my weekly doses. Well Diamond ships all four Progs at one time. You know being exposed to so much at once kinda burns. But its a good kind of burn.

For those who don't know me, my names Will Crites aka critter. I live in the states and I run a site called Mega City Tours. At the beginning of May I'm going to move MCT and revamp. Also I'm going to intoduce more tour guides and myself indrawn form.

Taking time from his busy schedule preparing for HiEx, rac has gracioiusly taken a coloring job for me. I have commissioned another image for Mega City Tours. As soon as he completes Monique I'll post it up here. I name all my girls, this time its profiled after a real life person. The real person is Monique Dupree, she does allot of the independent horror movies.

[Miniature Games]

Matthew Sprange of Mongoose Publishing has announced a host of projects for 2009 including a new Judge Dredd RPG, which will be based on the Traveller rules.  A full color hardback Judge Dredd RPG Rulebook will be next summer and will be followed by a campaign book and a complete sourcebook on the Justice Department.  Mongoose is also planning a new Judge Dredd Miniatures Game based on the original Gangs of Mega City One game, but with a much larger scope. The Judge Dredd games (along with a forthcoming Strontium Dog RPG) are the fruits of Mongoose "accepting an offer it couldn't refuse" (minus the horse head) from video game company Rebellion (see "Mongoose Joins Rebellion"), which controls the 2000 AD rights.  The deal has provided Mongoose with more than just access to cool properties.  Mongoose is now planning on publishing all projects of a certain length (around 200 pages) and using far more color in all its releases.  Here's a quick rundown on Mongoose's plans for its various lines during 2009.

Miniature Games
In addition to the aforementioned Judge Dredd miniatures game, Mongoose will release a new version of A Call to Arms its space combat game set in the world of Babylon 5, a V-Max Racing game and in February, the release of a new volume for Victory at Sea, Victory At Sea: Age of Dreadnoughts.
