One strip that I loved which end was so abrupt I tough I missed something: Kingdom. Basically the ending felt like we have this build-up and our heroes disappear into a forest but the "enemy" won.

Wait, Kingdom is finished?

Legislation is law. A person might not like it, but it is law. And I am going to bite - although I usually refrain - and ask two questions, Sharky.

First, if legislation is not law... then what is it? An answer along the lines of it being rules imposed by an undemocratic state (etc) does not stack up, because it can still be law. In fact, you can get bad law. But it is law.

Because, second, what is your definition of law? It's rules that a society expects its members to follow. And if you accept democratic theory, accepting that democracy may not work, then the theory is that if enough members don't like a law then they can vote to change it. You... legislate... for change.

this was the first appearance of Robo-Hunter. (Oddly, that character more broadly would surely be ripe for reboot in Regened. Ditch the sleazy and racist bits, and go heavy on the silly robots and comedy, and it could work. Although replacing Gibson wouldn't be easy.)

I heartily endorse this sentiment. Silly robots and comedy = gold.

I enjoyed this, a lot. That's despite ignoring the Robo Hunter story.

The 'shock was the weakest of the strips.

I enjoyed Lowborn High. You need to get past the overt Harry Potter riffing. It's doing a lot of world building at a child's pace, and I found it quite fun. It reminded me a bit of Skizz, in that it's clearly drawing inspiration from another well, yet doing its own thing enough to be fun.

Question on Megazines.

I haven't really read the Megazines as I'm going through the CCFs, but I've stumbled onto Mechanismo and it was originally published in 2.12-2.17 What does "2.12" mean?

Additionally; This might sound odd, but; what are the Megazines? I mean, I know they're a monthly anthology comic, but what makes it a Judge Dredd comic? There's one Dredd story in them and the rest are other stories and stories from past 2000AD Progs. They seem like monthly 2000ADs to me, but I'm aware that I'm new to it all, so I don't know.

The Megazine's (new) strips are all set in Dredd's world and often tie into characters from the main Dredd strip. So there's a focus in the Megazine on Dredd's world. There is also reprint to help with costs.

The "2." numbering ties into the frequency of the Meg. It started as monthly, then went fortnightly. From memory, it to "Volume 2" numbering (so issue 2.1 was the first fortnightly edition). It then went back to monthly and just ret-conned the Volume 2 numbering with the original sequence.

I am quite enjoying the IDW stuff, on the basis that I ignored it first time round and find it curious.
