Marv thought back to the last time he'd seen the old man. Marv still had a wife and child then and things had been looking good for him in the Cursed Earth township of New Hope.

The first that they you knew he was approaching was when the munce plants failed to grow and instead withered in the ground. Next the animals became spooked and the dreams started.

But there was worse to come...much worse, for after the dreams, came the birth of the child, a normal pregnancy at first but upon birth the hapless parents knew they had something different on thier hands,something...evil...

The dreams, full of horror and quite strangely, monkeys in hats... omens of the coming of the man in the black dress...

Marv shook his head and came to his senses. No point thinking about the past, Nimian was stood in front of him here and now.

The bar had cleared, the patrons running through the back foor. They knew about Nimian too thought Marv, knew the stories, felt the chill that follows him like that damned dog of his, knew the dreams of monkeys in hats.

What do you want, old man? growled Marv, eyes glancing toward the storeroom door.

The old man's eyes followed Marv's gaze,'Is it in there?' He pointed to the door.

Nimian turned and slowly made his way to the first cubicle.

"Wait here, be back in a minute."

The cubicle lock was broken, Marv wasn't going to tell him that.

But first, he had to have a dump.

If only that idiot Marvin would stop staring he could get on with things.

"Marvin, get out," he said.

"lay a couple of sheets of toilet paper on the surface of the water," said Marvin, being helpful,"and it won't splash back on your arse."
