Title: Modelling a Lawmaster in 3D Need Feedback
Post by: maxq3d on 14 July, 2016, 02:52:23 PM
I'm new to the 2000AD forum but started reading it at issue 1 back in the distant past, took a long break from around 700 to now. Still a big Dredd fan so I decided to model the original Lawmaster in 3D.
Looking for feedback on any improvements I can make bearing in mind there isn't a great deal of reference images for the first version and different artists had their own take on this vehicle.

I'm not a professional it's a hobby so let me know how I can improve this before I move on to modelling the man himself. Long term plan is a scene with Dredd on his bike with the city in background.

That looks really great!

I think maybe the eagle/display screen needs to be a little bigger in relation to the front wheel housing (or maybe the front wheel & housing a bit smaller?)

Oh, and it needs bike-cannon!

Nice work there, Maxq3d!

I based my own Lawmaster model (see here (http://www.michaelowencarroll.com/3d-dredd.htm#lawmaster)) on the blueprints that were published in one of the early Dredd annuals.

Thanks
Which Dredd annual was it?
I've got a few hopefully it's in one of those.

It was the Judge Dredd Annual 1983!

It's very handy - I used the same ref for the one I built for Judge Minty.

Looking great so far!
