We were at the Futurequake when Dave Gibbons set up next door so quickly joined the queue for a sketch behind Ian Edington who was getting his copy of Watchmen signed.

Theres some lovely pieces there [mostly ] but i wont name names as to what i do or dont like.

Can anyone say how long the artists take to draw a sketch while U wait ?

10 minutes ?

20 minutes ?

Inspired by this thread i sat at home and drew a sketch in 20 minutes imagining there was a long queue of impatient fans waiting.Once was enough though.

Also some of the artists sketch in pencil which i like to see.

Do you have to pay the artists anything for the sketches as quite honestly some of those sketches are beautiful and i would have to bung them at least the price of a pint if i was drawn something as good as the sketches shown.

The eyeball man thing reminds me of that band called The Residents.

Depends, Peter.
We were watching Dave Gibbons, and he was knocking them out in 20-30 seconds.
Dave Taylor took maybe 10 minutes or so- but his sketches were beautiful. Same with Dave Kendall.
I'll try and get the few I managed to get sketched and up some time later.
