I'm sorry you feel that way, but this isn't a short fuse, merely admins nipping in the bud any suggestion the comic might be negatively impacted by the movie.

I don't know why or how people would jump to that conclusion. Like Rebellion have been scrimping on the prog all these years saving up the pennies to fund the movie! Different money, different companies.

NOTE TO ARTISTS: Please refrain from using colour in your work, this extra money will be used to release the steelbook version of Dredd  ::)

I'm not a fan of 3D myself but the wife flat out refuses to watch another movie in 3D so waiting on the blu ray  :'(

Can you not go by yourself?

Ha I'd rather not be that guy  But like I said, I'm not a fan of 3D, I'd go as far to say it spoiled my enjoyment of Prometheus, so blu-ray will have to do.

Apparently, according to what I heard on a Mark Kermode video recently, the distributors (in the UK at least) were flat out denying 2D prints to a lot of cinemas even when they were actively asking for them.

That's really sad but does explain a lot. I've had my eye on three closest cinemas and none of them have shown a normal print. Sometimes I've had to wait a few weeks for movie before it gets shifted into the 2D screens then I'd go and see it but with the case of Dredd the 3D showings have been getting less & less, no normal showings have appeared. I'm not a fan of 3D myself but the wife flat out refuses to watch another movie in 3D so waiting on the blu ray  :'(

And this thread is not pointless, it means some of us actually get to post in a topic that we care about. There's still numerous threads I can't post in, I can't even weigh in on how much I'm enjoying the weeks' Prog!

What was the distribution like across the US? I still haven't seen Dredd in UK because not one cinema around here is showing it in 2D. I'll have to wait until blu-ray pre-order goes up.

Good that it's not just me that's read through a thread, found a good post and went to hit "quote" only to see the button missing  :o

And been waiting for the stories to start from fresh so prog 180 was as good as any time.

I actually wasted to reply to prog 1801 thread but for some reason it wont let me. Anyway I was just concerned to know if the digitised Dredd comic of 1801 was intended or if that regular occurrence. Glad to hear it wasn't!

Looking forward to 1802!
