Blimey, I just checked.

I signed up to this forum on 16th January 2003.

20 years of hanging around here! Wow. From Karne to Godpleton to Trout to Shark. Where has the time gone? So many have left the party, but here I am in the forum kitchen still rooting around for another beer. I guess I'll leave when they turn on the lights... or call the police.

Not a fan. Bit 1992. Very... functional and cold, with a lot of empty red and grey.

EDIT: Still, I gets to keep my wee Dalek pic, which is probably 20 years old now.

I have caffeinated sparrows.
They congregate in a bush that overhangs the little concrete yard behind my kitchen. The yard is only big enough for the wheelie bins and it's littered with leaves from the bush above and by the dregs from my morning pot of coffee. The coffee sludge is chucked out there and left to dry. Sometime in the future it gets swept up along with the dead leaves, and the snail shells, and the rest of the organic rubbish, and put in the bin.
I've only started noticing the sparrows this past year because of their numbers and the noise they make. It occurs to me that they're there for the coffee. When I see them pecking away in the little yard, it may not be seeds they're after, but coffee grounds. That might explain their liveliness. I have caffeinated sparrows.
No wonder they're all chirrupping loudly at the same time and flying in rapid little flurries – going nowhere but going fast.
These sparrows are buzzed.
I can hear them now, cheeping at each other like they've got a million ideas for a tech start-up.

This is comedy gold. I'm quite sure it's true.

It really lightened my mood after a bad day. Thanks.

I've got some old Dredd pants from Asda, if you wants them Molch-R.

EDIT: Genuine offer! They're unworn, honest. I stuck them in a box of Progs when I got them and they've lain there since

SMILE

Should have been "sigh". A tired derivative of the Ring and It Follows, but not as good. Also a victim of the curiously bloodless horror that so fascinates the USA.

A nercopost, yes. And apologies.

But I was explaining to my wife tonight why this board is awesome and yet old fashioned. I searched for this thread to make my case.

This thread is, next to Thread Zero, my favourite. And those who remember Thread Zero are few and far between. Not that it ever existed...

Clearly my mistake then. Sorry all. Still, my other points hold. I don't like the strip.

Since Day One, in fairness! He got booted out of his elite assassin unit over an affair with a human officer's wife before he met Hammerstein.

Really? I could swear he liked boys.

Och, this is okay.

DREDD - Assirelli obviously watched the Dredd movie but hasn't read Dredd. The art here is a lift from the film. The first page made me do a double check I wasn't reading an adaption; the Dredd uniform feels very filmy. More to the point, everyone other than the judges, is in contemporary dress and the big Meg looks more like any real world city. Fun though.

HOPE - file this with the Order in the "no drokking idea what's going on, ignore" drawer.

JOE PINEAPPLES - this should never have been in the prog. It's trading off the names of Bisley and Mills. The Langley art looks like he cars, unlike the flat Biz art, but in both cases it's polishing the turd of the writing. This has all the hallmarks of post-progocalypse Mills, by which I mean it is lazy in the extreme. Key tropes are: exposition in the dialogue ("that's why you commit every crim imaginable - because you want to feel alive"); introducing a character with a splash page and a name, and jarring out of character moments (just how does Ro-Jaws know the bad guys are ghosts? He's a sewer bot, but let's not stress as we need to resolve the cliffhanger. Since when did Joe have a thing for girls? Let's not stress, Sue Bananas is a cool name and  a sexy female Joe splash page works).

OUT and VEX work are brill.

The Bisley art reminds me of the Dredd by someone famous, with the clumpy boot that was rejected.

As in, you have to ask if it's good enough for the prog...

I started digging through my Black Friday glut yesterday, and decided to give The Quarry a go on PS5.

Another triumph for Supermassive Games.
I am halfway through the reported 10 hour playtime and having a ball.
Cast / concept / script / graphics / (Slightly easier) QTE all hitting the right notes so far.

The Rod Serling-esqe tutorials are the icing on the cake.
It's a strong recommend, horror fans.

I second this recommendation. Played it through in December and had a blast.

I got all my Progs, except 2010. (Which I bought in FP, thankfully). They all dropped today! Looking forward to a mega catch up.

Still nothing since 2309 here - simultaneously relieved I bought some shop copies and perturbed that I'm never going to see them (or the Meg).  I understand a week or two or three delay, despite other post making it through - but over a month now for 2310?

This is my sentiment. I honestly think that something has gone wrong, badly wrong, with the subs and the postal strike is masking it. No other mail is a month overdue. And to miss one letter is unlucky. I am missing four (2310, 11, 12 and the Meg). That's not right. That's not a strike.

The longest anything else has been overdue is about four days. There is something odd going on with the prog
