I'll definitely be going. It looks like it will be a lot of fun and it will give me a chance to pay a visit to a few friends of mine in Cork.

Hmm... that's got me thinking! Suppose we ALL did a little Gavinating? Say we pick a particular issue - the next jumping-on prog, maybe - and we all buy an extra copy and leave it somewhere to be found by someone who's likely to appreciate it? C'mon - let's do it! Who's with me?

There appears to be some interest in this on the Advent Calendar comments thread, so I decided to get the ball rolling. If anyone wants to take part, I think Prog 2014 would be a great place to start. Remember to include a little note and take a picture if possible.

Fantastic reworking, Eamonn.

Thanks everyone, glad ye are still enjoying it even after all these years. I wholeheartedly endorse the idea of Gavinating.

Once again, for this years Advent Calender, I decided to give the gift of Thrill-Power. Like previous years, I have tried to spread the word of 2000ad, so for the past month I have been gift wrapping progs and leaving them at several locations around Ireland. I also included a note inside wishing them a "Happy Christmas from the 2000ad forum".

As an added bonus, I have also a Sláine print and prog 1861 signed by Pat Mills (slightly smudged) for one lucky forum member. Just pm me your name before Monday the 23rd, if you want to be included, and the winner will be announced on Tuesday the 24th. Good luck.

Amazing work, Mike. My childhood was filled with Airfix modelling kits and I really wish the Lawmaster had been one of them.

Fantastic work, Darren. Great details that made me guffaw.

Had a great time yesterday at the signing, I unfortunately missed the q&a, as I had to head back into the city to get a train home.
I did manage to have a brief chat with Pat, as he was signing the mountain of books I put in front of him. He still talks with such passion and enthusiasm that he was a joy to listen too.

Sorry i missed you, Link, but hopefully you enjoyed the q&a and the drink afterwards. It was also an absolute pleasure to meet and chat to, Mike again.

Fantastic, Albion and very festive.

Fantastic work, Shaolin. I'm not at all familiar with 'Oor Wullie', but "Oor Middenface" gave me several laughs.
Great to see your daughters work too, it's much better then anything I could have produce.

An amazing start to the Advent Calendar. I'm still in hysterics after the Winter Wonderland video and that Drokkin' comic strip was frightfully realistic.
Great to see The Gavin Leahy Block again, even in such a terrible condition.

It will be slightly awkward for me to get there, especially with it being on midweek, but I can't miss the opportunity to meet Mr. Mills.

I just have to decide what to bring with me for him to sign.
