News / Hiya Toys Judge Dredd range?
23 July, 2021, 11:23:57 PM
This news was shared with me recently and for someone interested by all things action figure related, particularly when in context to the 2000AD universe, this has me insanely excited!!!
Here's hoping that it lasts longer than the 3A range and that we get the complete Dark Judges this time around.
A Mean Machine finally and the rest of the Angel Gang would be great for starters too!!!

As I understand it, the first one has just dropped, anyone had any luck downloading it?

I've a monthly subscription to The Megazine but I can't seem to find away to access them.
Any assistance gratefully received!

Other Reviews / Masters of British Comic Art
08 April, 2020, 10:24:01 PM
So my copy turned up yesterday and it really is a thing of exquisite beauty!!!

A fascinating historical examination of the medium and lavishly illustrated, it will serve as an essential reference guide in the future.

Worth buying for the glorious art on display alone!!!

This has been mentioned in a previous thread, but it seems deserving of its own.

For tech savvy squax the rather good film Dredd is making its UHD debut on 06/06/17!

Wow HD currently seems to have the cheapest price, £17.48 including postage!

Note Ultra HD discs are apparently region free, while the standard Blu-ray disc will most probably be locked to U.S.A region A.

Music / Metal Hammer Judge Dredd, Anthrax cover!
11 January, 2017, 12:58:12 PM
Somthing for Metal-heads and Drokk-heads!
Haven't picked up MH in donkey's (more of a Classic Rock reader these days!) but the awesome Dylan Teague Judge Dredd and Anthrax cover and poster in the February 2017 issue, will insure that I will!

Great also to hear that the mag and stable mate, Classic Rock has been saved from closure by Future Publishing-the news stands would of looked pretty barren without then, especially for music lovers!

Drokk on!

General / 2000AD's 40th year! Drokking exciting, what?
02 January, 2017, 04:34:09 PM
Really looking forward to 2000AD's year ahead!

The celebration convention, more merch, hopefully some more movies/TV and video games announcements!

And of course, all the exciting developments in the comic itself!

Looking forward to it Green-bonce!  :)

Film & TV / Cannon Fodder!
28 December, 2016, 05:08:17 PM
Looks like everyone's favourite Judge Dredd director, Danny Cannon is back in the spotlight-this time to salvage Gerard Butler from his most recent attempt at career oblivion!

He's been asked to oversee reshoots on Butler's new film Geostorm, who's plot features malfunctioning weather control satellites-all sounds slightly reminiscent of Mega City One's weather control, doesnt it?!

Looks lke Cannon can't completely escape his past with Judge Dredd!

Games / Tanglewood: Megadrive Kickstarter game.
17 December, 2016, 04:03:57 PM
Not usually one to promote such things, but this looks like a worthwhile endeavour.

An experienced coder who has assembled some formidable talent, besides himself, from Ocean Sofrware, from back in the day.

Anyone who loves a bit of retro gaming and loves their Megadrive as much as I do, should consider backing the project.

Hurry though, only just over 24 hours to go before the project's time is up and currently on 96% funded!

Suggestions / Original, stand alone Dredd GN.
04 December, 2016, 02:15:33 PM
I wonder if Rebellion would consider commissioning a Judge Dredd story seperate from the weekly, collected in graphic novel form, not unlike the evil corporate, capitalists of DC and Marvel do?

Would other fans buy it? I'd certainly be interested in such a project.  :)

Just wondering, as the previous Dredd movieverse strips got a U.S comics format release.

Games / The Games Of 2000AD-A Retrospective.
01 November, 2016, 12:30:00 PM
I know there are several gamers on this site and recently I pitched an idea to the rather great Retro Gamer Magazine about doing an article on all the computer and video games that were based on 2000AD properties, particularly with the comic's 40th anniversary looming large.

If anyone is interest, would they care to access the retro gamer forum and voice it.

Many thanks.   :)
