I actually agree with you about Frazer's art back then. I think the main problem is the colouring on strips like early Dante and Shimura really is very dull and makes everything look very boring.

His art is great now though so I forgive him.

No completely agree I like it enough to start with but Simon Fraser's art has unsurprisingly come on in leaps and bounds over the last 15 plus years.

Enjoying this already Monarch when complete it'll be an incredibly useful resource too.

Youre all wrong. I much, MUCH prefer the art from the first few Dante stories over the more recent stuff, which often looks very rushed and sketchty in comparison. The early stuff had so much more detail and polish, and I really like the early hand-colouring with all the earthy tones.

Shaping up to be an interesting series of articles Monarch, thanks for doing it. I wonder which will be higher the Arbatov death count or Dante's lay count, they're both going to be in double digits by the end of the series
