Title: Jock Signing and Q&A in Dublin
Post by: Link Prime on 26 August, 2016, 07:52:45 PM
Irish eyes are certainly smiling this evening; Jock will be signing his incredible looking new book 'The Art of Jock' in Big Bang Comics, Dublin, on September 28th.

I've also heard that there will be an exclusive Judge Death book-plate with every copy purchased, only available at the signing.

I really need to visit Ireland once I've figured out where I put my (as yet un-used) passport.  I'd just have to make sure it's during a week/end when there's:
a) a good goth night on (not that I'm expecting a variety)
b) some form of Squaxx get-together

This is a far-off plan!

Love to make it to this, but doubtful. I met Jock in Derry a few years back, great artist and a really nice guy too.

Does Jock have family or besties over in Ireland? For such a big name artist he's frequently here. Which is lucky for us.

It did indeed. Huge crowd for the signing, even though I was one of the last to arrive.

Jock is such a gent, you could tell he was in his element sitting there chatting and sketching (while sipping a few cans of Heino).

The Q&A and screening was good fun too, with Jock revealing that Dredd is still his favorite comic character.
Seeing Dredd (sans 3D) on the big screen once again was ace too, for some reason I enjoyed it much more this time around.

My only regret from the evening was not getting Mike Carroll to sign my copy of Prog 2000 after bumping into him in the queue- I tried to make it down to his signing the following Saturday, but missed it by 5 minutes.
