Pick your top 2 by simply popping the years you think have the best covers in a reply to this thread. I'll close up voting Saturday 5th December (if my timings are right?!?). Count up and the top 2.5 will go through (I've explained that somewhere...) to the knockout stages.

Any question just ask.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Ohh this is a fun idea, thanks again Colin!

I enjoy original art, so basing this on which I would like to own the most, I'm going with 1980 - Prog 192! Can't beat a cover with Joe and Johnny together.

Runner up, 1982, love this one too!

1984 - has to be one of the scariest Christmas images ever

1985 - got to love DR & Quinch

SmallBlueThing(Reborn)

1977, because that story scared me beyond belief when I first read it back in the day.

And 1984, because Kevin O'Neill and it still.gives me the heebie jeebies even now.

1979 - not the greatest story but I always loved that cover!
1985 for the second; a D.R. & Quinch classic

Barrington Boots

For me it'd got to be the horror of 1984 and the simplicity of 1982.
You're a dark horse, Boots.

Not sure the double page covers lose something there - I'll go with 82 and 85 (but more for the other half of 85!)
