General / Crowdfunders you might like
04 March, 2024, 08:50:07 AM
There are several crowdfunders from the UK Squaxx Dek Thargo may love so I thought I'd start a new thread.
Crowdfunders are like pre ordering your 2000AD and Treasury Books.

The 68 page Tara Togs The Silence of Unicorns by Stref is inspired by Herge's TinTin and was funded in six hours. If you like strong Halo Jones heroines then you will enjoy this. The book was called a 'intelligent and superb work' by David (V For Vendetta) Lloyd.  Check it out here

If you missed the Crowdfunder for ComicScene Spring Issue then you are also missing a new KekW / Charlie Gillespie strip called Ruby Tuesday.  Check it out at the ComicScene Store

Church of Hell was written by Alan Grant with art from the likes of Glenn Fabry, Simon Bisley and Clint Langley.  Check it out here

The guys is a Zenith style hoot (it has superheroes!) which you can support here and Matt Garvey's Gangster versus Nazi's looks like a lot of fun here  Only a few hours to support this one.

So if you love 2000AD and UK comics these are all worth your galactic groats.

Thank you - ComicScene is fully funded in six days.  We are currently at £3192 with 132 backers and 30 days to go!  We aim to produce ComicScene three times a year - this being the first!  Thank you again.  Pledge here http://kck.st/45oTZms

HELP PAY CREATORS A DECENT PAGE RATE

You decide what happens next.  We now intend to add extra pages to include 16 pages of new comic strips.  For every £300 the kickstarter makes we will pay creators £200 a page - £50 for writing, £125 for art/colour, £25 for lettering!  Comic Fans and Comic Creators can support this and get their name in the magazine or in the Comic Creators Directory. Pledge here http://kck.st/45oTZms

REMEMBERING COLIN NOBLE

I am also pleased to announce that with support from his family we will finally be able to print a few articles written by Colin Noble.  For those who don't know Colin passed away two years ago.  He had written articles on Bunty and Axa for the magazine that due to the Covid 19 pandemic never got to the pages of ComicScene.  We can now make a donation to Colin's family thanks to your generosity in supporting this kickstarter and publish the articles over the next couple of issues.

COMIC FANS AND CREATORS WORKING TOGETHER

Comic Fans and Comic Creators working together to make your magazine that is 100% about comics.  Please keep sharing ComicScene over the next 30 days and thanks again for your support.  Pledge here http://kck.st/45oTZms
