« on: 27 June, 2022, 05:16:36 PM »Dredd fatally injured, put into cryo moments before death. Justice Department tries to cover it up, representing Rico as Dredd. The secret gets out. Rico leads a coup to tidy up the Department but becomes a tyrant. The only one who can stop him, Dredd, is resurrected and fixed. Dredd kills Rico and everything goes back to normal(ish).
It seems to me that the whole Dredd run can be subtitled "The Decline and fall of Mega City One" so Dredd should die when the City does.

Then the space geranium gets eaten by a cosmic goat and there ends the Dreddverse...

« on: 22 June, 2022, 11:07:35 PM »Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. What can I say? I'm biased. I love the MCU. Comic book stories told in motion pictures. Pure fantasy. All the thrills of comics (and then some) without all that tedious page-turning - like, who has the strength, right? The part of me that loves these films is the older version of the part of me that loved Harryhausen and Doctor Who. With that in mind, I thoroughly enjoyed this film from start to finish, all the way through to Bruce Campbell's perfect last words. Definitely one for the Multi-Play list.

In the end I decided that waiting for the authorities to help was the biggest waste of my time imaginable and took control of myself. It's a very daunting thing to do and a very hard thing to do but I did it and haven't looked back. I know this doesn't help you much but it does demonstrate that there is a productive way out and I'm sure you'll find yours. The first step, in my experience, is to discard all thoughts of what other people might think your life is worth and to value it for yourself, on your own terms. Never forget that you are a being of infinite worth and potential and that the meaning of your life needn't be objective. One has to find one's own meaning and not give a f*ck about how other people measure such things (unless they chime with one's own views and needs, in which case simply fold them in to one's personal philosophy).
And congratulations on going to your model club, that's a Big Win for you at this stage.
