Another one for Stickleback please! Some absolutely gorgeous art and lovely world building. Still not 100% sold on the big reveal personally tbh, but apart from that, there's lots to love!

Cabs for me by a mile. Reardon's art is to die for and the multiple Cabs spin offs are testament to its strength as a world. Dante's good, don't get me wrong, it's just not up there with Cabs for me, I'm afraid.

My suggestion re prog ennui is just to take a break for a few weeks. Come back when you're in the mood and blast through a particular thrill prog-by-prog, it works really well.

Think I'll give that a shot myself - might even do some reviews here. I'm trying to rekindle my prog love so that sounds like the way forward.

I'm digital too by the way - I've lived in a very small place for a long time and will probably continue to do so, so I'm very happy with my choice.

I'm doing this right now... I'm miles behind but after a fairly large break, I've been catching up with the tail end of last year (from prog 2250 in fact with the McMahon cover) and.... It is just... SO GOOD! Amazing what a bit of a break can do for the old thrill circuits. Particularly loving Diaboliks and The Out. Scarlet Traces has been pretty good too.

A lot of it is State Of Mind. Strange but true. But when you're in the zone, you're definitely in the zone I find...

Very sad to hear about Mark Lanegan. I was wondering why 6 Music were playing his stuff today.

I read an interview with him late last year (I think he had a book out) and he sounded like he'd been through the wringer.

He was a great musician in his own right, but also one of those people who seem to thrive in collaborations. He's left a great catalogue behind.

Agreed. Such a loss, a real talent. I'd heartily recommend checking out his work.

Sin Dex. An iconic part of the prog. It's had the odd up and down, but so have a lot of top thrills tbh and they're still well loved.

Strange and Darke. Wish we'd had more of it.
