Blimey, they classified it as U???
The violence & gore is far more graphic then anything I've seen in 2000AD.

The plague Dogs is even more violent! Animal experimentation, sheep mutilation, even the friendly farmer gets a facefull of buckshot- make Bambi look like the Texas chainsaw massacre!

That also left me deeply traumatised as a kid also. In fact it was even more scary. I read the book also, I think it may have made me cry.

As a follow-up.To anyone who's interested, The Plague Dogs is availible from Anchor-Bay in the uk.Bought it online, it only cost me around ?8.00.
Although news is that it is the u.s cut, missing about 10mins worth of footage. Still a bargain, if you ask me

reading watership down at mo with wee juvie, its going to bother her i just know it...

traumatised as child by these books best wey of descrbing it. But damn good tho, never mind the later cartoon horror of 'the animal fashists of farthing wood' i tried to stop the kids watching that, it was such feudalistic zenophobic anthropomorphic shit.
