Events / Geekedfest Newport August 5th-6th
19 July, 2017, 10:40:11 AM
Relatively new convention in Newport, South Wales (my home town), which this year has 2000ad's very own John Wagner and Dylan Teague as guests with possibly more to follow? Oh yes and blatant plug I will be there as well selling my wares in what will be my 1st ever convention!! (Not nervous honest!)

PS Any convention selling hints and tips greatly appreciated!!

I along with daughter should be there as well Spikes. Last went 2 years ago and it is a great event purely focused on comics and comic related merchandise. Very family friendly and generally a very friendly and personal feel to the event.

Pat's Millsverse page has also posted about an announcement today, but I'd think that's more likely to be an autobiography.

His twitter feed is now posting not very cryptic images and text

Soon.....from Pat Mills

followed by

Be Pure.....from Pat Mills

So I can hopefully assume that whatever it is is connected to Nemesis.

[Shameless pimping]There was an episode of Brigand Doom, drawn by the excellent Alex Mines, in issue 26 of Zarjaz...[/shameless pimping]

Cheers Greg! Loved drawing this, and funnily enough a page of this can be seen below (even more shameless pimping). Regarding the original strip, I loved Dave D'Antquis art, but as most others felt, the script was slightly lacking. I feel it could have been something special if developed further rather than V for Vendetta lite.
Did D-Antquis do anything else in the prog after that as it would be great to see him on something now (or more Doom?).

Bloody annoying 'How Comics Work' priced at £20 on Amazon UK but only $16 (£12) on Amazon US where I accidentally went first. Bloody Brexit / Trump / Daily Mail! (delete as appropriate)

Was inspired by Rogue One so did a drawing of one of my favourite characters from the film! Promarkers and fineliners. Poor photo so loses a bit of the detail.
