Last of the V8's

Just watched the Top Ten Comic Heroes on Discovery.
As usual condesending, but nice interveiws with creators.
Pat Mills, Kev Walker and 2K's editor, whatisname.
In no particular order featured were;
Wonder Woman, Hulk, X-Men, Tin Tin, Spiderman, Akira, Witchblade, Superman, Batman and Dredd.
Can you guess who won?

Witchblade? WITCHBLADE? Top Ten? WTF?

Tu-plang

Did ye catch what number Dredd came in?

And, yeah, what the f*ck is with witchblade being apparently better than a million brilliant contempary comic books?

And my bet is on Superman having won, because he always does.

Art

I have a voracious appetite for comics. I will read any old crap that happens to be in front of me if it happens to be in comics form. But when someone gave me a stack of Witchblade comics I just gave up half way through, it was  too badly written and the "image" artwork was too crappy.

Wood

Is Witchblade the one with the woman wearing nothing but a scowl and bits of organic spiky looking armour barely covering her rude bits?

johnnystress

Batman was number one-surprise , surprise, spider-man was number two,-Dredd was up there at the top somewhere i think
- as a top 10 it didnt make any sense, witchblade(!?!)
But it was entertaining, seeing the 2000AD writers/artists in the flesh like

Yes. The artist was mainly interested in drawing women with shiny tits wearing PVC underwear. It was terrible dross.
