Creative Common / Does My Figure look big in this?
« on: 09 April, 2021, 09:48:10 PM »
To all Squaxx
Using inspiration from the “Does my Art look big in this?” thread
I think that all of us enthusiastic amateur sculptures/model makers deserve a thread to show their creativity and imagination.

Having only been on the board a relatively short time compared to some it’s not easy to find others creations. But they are out their - Shaolin 👍🏻.

So no matter how long ago it was done, if anyone has pics of unique creations either changed from shop bought kits, action figures or ambitious “built from scratch” figures please post here for all to find under one banner.
(a few details on how it was done would be great hopefully give me tips on future characters)

I’ll start it off with the ones I did over the last year. My latest creation should be finished in about a week and I believe it’s above my “normal” standards

Books & Comics / Space Bastards Vol 2 on Kickstarter
« on: 22 January, 2021, 07:22:44 AM »
I picked up Vol 1 at lawless 2019 so it’s been a long wait for Vol 2. The book and art are beautifully big to go with the big price. I enjoyed this and will be forking out for Space Bastards Vol 2 which is drawing by our very own Langley & MacNeil and with the big page format this should be pretty awesome.

Hopefully I’ve put the link up correctly.

Film & TV / Alien TV series
« on: 07 December, 2020, 10:54:16 PM »
Was passed this by my Alien super fan mate from work.
If it gets off the ground I’ll definitely give it a watch as long as it’s based in “Aliens” and the space marine world as that’s my favourite.

Film & TV / Animaniacs are back!!
« on: 17 September, 2020, 07:12:46 AM »
I’m really looking forward to seeing this. Back in the 90s this and Animated Batman were my cartoons of choice.

There’s a link on Twitter but I don’t know how to post that on here🙁

Off Topic / Face coverings
« on: 24 April, 2020, 05:33:45 PM »
This isn’t a thread on the usefulness of the pros or cons of face coverings in this crazy time - but it is likely the advice is pointing to the authorities advising their use.

So if we are going to wear face coverings which tooth character (Other than Dredd) would you want?

I’m going for Hershey 🤔

Creative Common / Joe Pineapples paint Job
« on: 21 September, 2019, 11:33:32 AM »
I picked up this cracking Pineapples model from strontium71 a few months ago and have eventually finished it  :) .
I wanted to go as closely as poss to the Bisley "Cool Assassin" picture it was modelled from (including the flower in the gun). I'm well chuffed with my effort and its of a reasonable standard that the wife is letting me display it on the living room book case.

News / Battlefield killer robots to be banned

Found this today on the BBC

It’s only the EU taking a preemptive strike but don’t worry the last paragraph says there are plenty countries still wanting to develop autonomous weapons. (ABC Warriors 😄)

News / Planet Replicas wee teaser

As a big Rogue fan this is got my juices flowing. I’m hoping for a rucksack style bag as I use one to take to work. Current one is a army style with The GI & bagman pin attached do this could be a good replacement Hope this is things to come from P R with more varied character items to purchase. Everything I’ve bought so far has been excellent.

Games / Announced today "Rogue Trooper Redux"
« on: 28 February, 2017, 07:57:23 PM »
I just recently bought the original Rogue game from eBay to play on my daughters Xbox 360 (even though its a Xbox game) as I played it on the Playstation 2 back in the day. It was still pretty playable but on hearing they are revamping it has got my juices flowing  :D.

I've every trust in them to do a good job. I hope this will be the first of a few more titles to be released - maybe a Mega-City 1 version of GTA!

Hi, after visiting the site a few times as a guest I decided to join in the chat and swap views and ideas about the Greatest Comic in the Galaxy.
I have been hooked since the 1980 Annual and the stories are still as entertaining to me now as back then. I was fortunate enough to attend the 40th which just amazing.
My collection of books & nick nacks and knowledge is modest compared to most on here but I'm always looking to increase all.
Looking forward to a few in depth discussions.
