The www subdomain has now been enabled so all of the pages (that were working before) should now be working. I'm currently preparing the 2019 covers (that the Cosh sent me in December!) for upload.

2000ad.org is back up this morning

I'm still having difficulty accessing http://www.2000ad.org/artwork/  but http://2000ad.org/markus/ and http://2000ad.org/thrillpower/ are fine. The issue seems to be with the www part of the domain.

In the event that 2000ad.org isn't resurrected then I could move it to 2000ad.net.

However, there would be a whole bunch of files with code like this:

$query = "SELECT ProgNumber FROM $CoverStory ORDER by ProgDate";
$choiceResult = mysql_query($query);
$rows = mysql_num_rows($choiceResult);
$FirstProg = mysql_result($choiceResult, 0, "ProgNumber");
$LatestProg = floor(mysql_result($choiceResult, $rows - 1, "ProgNumber"));

which would need to be edited to look more like this:

$query = "SELECT ProgNumber FROM $CoverStory ORDER by ProgDate";
$ChoiceResult = mysqli_query($link,$query);
$row = mysqli_fetch_row($ChoiceResult);
$FirstProg = $row[0];
$LatestProg = ???

The advantage is that I'd then have phpMyAdmin access to the database again, rather than having to do everything through bespoke code.

However, fingers crossed it won't come to this. The advantage of easier access is more than outweighed by the disadvantages of an address change and recoding.

So, y'know, maybe the cleaner unplugged Barney.

I'm not sure if it was the cleaner but it seems like that's not too far from the truth.

Rebellion are working to restore it, and personally I'm very glad that it was due to an error rather than a cyber attack.

Once it's back on I'll prioritise the latest cover from the Cosh so he can bring it back up to date.

Classifieds / Nick Dyer joins the 2000 AD Original Artwork Gallery

Hopefully most people reading this already know that I sell original 2000 AD comic art pages on behalf of a number of droids as well as my own collection through the 2000 AD Artwork Gallery and that the site now has a companion facebook page.

What you may not yet know is that Nick Dyer now has a self-representing album on the facebook page where he has listed a number of original pages at very reasonable prices.

Best wishes,

Ah thankyou for this info. Hopefully they'll realise I'm an old Megazine droid.

You should have access now. Props to Jim Campbell for the notification.

My email address is wake@2000ad.org but I probably have enough possibilities at this stage. Thanks for your interest.

A friend of mine has recently started working for a military/historical publishing company and they're considering doing some short graphic novels. It would be a paying gig and possibly involves 24-32 page graphic re-tellings of historical episodes.

If they can get an good artist on board then the artist could have some input into the style and direction, but willingness to represent historical clothing/equipment accurately is key.

If you're interested please let me know by email, facebook or message here.

Fabulous art but what the exact fuck is Dredd up to jumping  through a window and engaging in fisticuffs?  I take it his actions make some kind of sense in the context of the story.

You can decide for yourself by reading the whole story (apart from the last page) here.

Perhaps shooting people who are victims of a suicide arcade would somewhat defeat the purpose of intervening.

Has anyone received the badge promised with issue 1? Since they used a photo ripped from Termight Replicas to promote it without my knowledge, I'd like to know if the actual badge looks anything like it.

« on: 23 October, 2014, 10:46:59 AM »
I've just finished adding a wide range of artwork that I've just bought in, and I've also put prices on some pages in my personal collection, to cover the cost of the full Leviathan's Farewell story (including script), a Dan Dare DPS from prog 4 and an ABC Warriors page by SMS.

Apologies for the image-heavy post. For more pics please go to http://www.2000ad.org/artwork/ and look under Miscellaneous.

Pages include:
The "Get Everything on an Even Keel" page from V.C.s by Cam Kennedy

Strontium Dog and ABC Warriors by Carlos Ezquerra

Judge Dredd and Slaine by Greg Staples

Judge Anderson and a Judge Dredd cover by Mick Austin

Ro-Busters by Mike McMahon

A Feral cover by Nigel Dobbyn

Judge Dredd (both early and coloured) by Ron Smith

A Devlin Waugh cover by Sean Phillips

Bradley by Simon Harrison

My Brett Ewins Major Magnum page is also for sale, plus I've listed several pages from Brett including a complete Future Shock, the cover of Eathside 8...a failed 2000 AD spinoff and most of the Dr. Panic story from the 1979 annual.

I'm happy to put pages on reserve for a month or two if you need to wait until pay day or consider trades.

£789.56 for that Zenith page! Crazy!  :o

Zenith art is particularly difficult to value. Other Steve Yeowell pages aren't that valuable but I can't remember seeing a Zenith on sale before. I would have been keener on it myself but I've just bought two expensive pages and it didn't feature Zenith himself.
