Quotehave you seen the 'Spines' thread?  :o that should re-assure you that you're amongst friends here  (mostly)

Proudhuff, thank you, I feel so much more normal now, the Case Files spines have never worried me.

Having said that, I'm just going to pop up to the attic bookshelves and make sure that's still the case.  I'll get back to you...

Hey there all,

In the process of building up a collection of 2000AD with - horrors! - all free gifts and flyers, inserts and other rarities of note.  Of which there seems to be a lot.  And a lot of them didn't make it down here to Australia.

I have a list (which, quite frankly, terrifies me - mainly due to its length)...  At the moment, it's mostly from #700 and on that I'm looking, and if anyone's interested, I can post it (at the risk of servers crashing).

Soooo - at the risk of house and home (mine, that is) - is anyone able to help out a Poor Completist?

...or shall I just seek professional psychiatric help?

Cheers all!

I very much doubt it!

Cool dry environment...? Crap. Then my attic storage in an Australian summer is stuffed as an option...!

And ghost, bizarrely enough, in my travels I actually got a repro of prog 2 stickers on paper - though for some odd reason at 1/2 the size of the original... I can send you it if you want it...

Lovely.  Enjoy, Mr MacRoth!

...and yes, I get that creeping feeling too.  But then when I'm flicking through an old newsprint prog with that papery smell of my childhood, all is forgotten.

Well, I for one am very happy that Prog 1 and 2 have gone to good homes... though they may miss the occasional glimpse of Australian sun.

Now, if anyone's got a really nice copy of prog 3 (sans gift), that'd make me a happy man.

In the meantime, make Betel (the scary forward-planner) happy and free him of the weighty responsibility of Progs 1 & 2 with gifts...!

Thank you Mr Betel-UK, also a top bloke and the world's best packager of en masse progs I know!

Huzzah for stupidly low prices!

(Not sure what that says about me though...)

Cheers!

G'day you lot, hope you're all behaving yourself...

I'm unloading a bit of stuff on ebay, and two items might be of particular interest - Prog 1 & 2, both in excellent condition, with the free gifts included!

Letting these go with some reluctance... just so long as they go to a good home...

Cheers!

...but he does look good being threatened by Mongrol.  And just think of what evil can be done when Ro-jaws turns up with his bog-blocker. ;)

Hey folks...

If anyone's keen, I'm selling a rare Tharg 1/6 scale figure, mint in box, on ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3A-2000AD-THARG-FIGURE-ASHLEY-WOOD-/221020951321?pt=AU_Action_Figures&hash=item3375e01319

or if you're in Oz

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221020951321?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I'm down in Australia, but the box isn't heavy (1.5kg) so postage won't be a killer!

Thanks all!

Nice to have another 2000AD fan around - welcome to sunny Sydney (well, maybe not today, it's bloody miserable)...

I too have had a sub to 2000AD and the Meg for a few years; all I can say is it's been a great service - just make sure you've got a decent sized mailbox, 'cos the progs come flat in A4 envelopes, and the posties aren't adverse to folding big envelopes up to fit them into a small space... gaaaah!

Very occasionally a prog goes missing in the post; however Denise at Subscriptions is fantastic and will ship another copy out generally with no questions.

It's a bit of a bugger that the local comic stores in Sydney don't reliably stock 2000AD - I tried a few years ago and the response was the same then too.  Rigellian hotshots for the lot of them!

Anyway, nice to have you here, enjoy Sydney!
