Difficult decision. Its like comparing apples and tuna. It has to be Simon Davis on this occasion though.

I always enjoy reading the review threads, but don't often contribute to them.

I can empathise. I've been a lurker for too long. My New Year's resolution is to make more of an effort.

I've considered mentally replacing resurrected Hershey with a resurrected Aimee Nixon with an undercover Hershey face-job, and enjoying the very pretty story on that basis.

Like! Aimee would've been a great candidate for this story.

What does puzzle me a bit is why Sláine seems to be moving from Ballina to Enniscrone on his journey from the Isle of Man to London, but maybe all will be revealed.

He's clearly on his way to Medb's tomb at Knocknarea in Sligo. That's The End.

Norton - I love your alternative cover but Neil's psychedelic original is a home run.

Potential Cover of the Year for me. I want this on a tee-shirt.

I'm really enjoying this Dredd. Great characters from Carroll as always. I'm really loving Will Simpson's take on this too. Its making great use of his GoT bloody body count experience too.

Finally, something intriguing about Hershey with the flashback to Judge Sam's demise.

Wow, Slaine. I'm loving this! Every page turn brings a bigger smile to my face. The third party reporting-to-your-boss narrative is a great device.

The change of pace of Proteus Vex from complex world building to full throttle action is great. Plus any episode with Midnight Indicating Shame warping out is a thumbs up from me.

Durham Red is ramping up to be a great Assault on Precinct 13. Any suggestions for a John Carpenter soundtrack to go with this? I'm thinking Ghosts of Mars.

No debate.
Cam Kennedy.

Based purely on time and effort I have to say Leigh Gallagher.

Ron Smith for defining so much of what I love about MC-1. Also the use of the legendary alarm clock.

Has to be Henry Flint

I -- McMahon.

There. Sweet Jovus Colin, next you'll be asking me to choose between my children...

My feeling exactly!

Today, though, it has to be McMahon. Could be a different answer tomorrow though...

Kev. It'd be a photo-finish if I was including non-2000AD work in my decision, but I'm not.

Of course you aren't. If you were your vote, every vote you have ever made and the votes of all your family and loved one's would be stricken from the records and you would be hunted in the street like the dog you'd become... or something like that...

Um, forget I mentioned Luther Arkwright...

On a tangent, but to me PWEI were the biggest of the quoted bands (they certainly had enough T-shirts in the town I lived in) but Clint Mansell's post-Poppies career certainly takes the limelight.

Thats mad, I was a huge fan of PWEI at the time, but completely forgot Clint Mansell was one and the same. His Moon soundtrack is on my go to playlist for work.

I have to say Bryan Talbot on this occasion.  His Nemesis and Luther Arkwright still blow me away.

Ooh, Eisenhorn would make a good grimdark demon-of-the-week style cop show alright.
