Is this the first time the judge helmets have been drawn with a strap?

Is there another story that gives paradox Vegas powers?

I read the one referred to her but she seems powerless there?

Quote from: Jim_Campbell on 21 February, 2024, 02:09:10 PMJust a quick heads-up for digital Meg subscribers who downloaded the current issue this morning — the last four pages of MC-2099 are supposed to have lettering. If it's missing on your copy (either PDF or CBZ) then download it again — it should now be fixed.
Ah - I did find it a bit baffling!

Well could it?

I'm feeling a bit slow - GGC?

This didn't work for me - I vaguely remember battle action and some of the strips but not all so it was all a bit random to me.

The future shock was good but I guess the writer has never been to Vegas if he thinks the whole city makes twenty million dollars a day and that ten times that is a big number

That was pretty dire - The Dredd strip is the best - however, that has an oddity. Currie either struggles with the uniform, or he draws everyone as if cosplayers are in Uniforms that don't fit. On every panel, the Judge badge is awardly drawn as being stuck over the shoulder pad or under it...

As for what the yoof like - my Nephews, who are the right age live in a golden age of top-quality manga and other content aimed at them.

I thought it was fine - If you think about it - you could answer the "so what happened to the police?"

What's going on with Dredd's eye - misdirection, nothing, symbolism or
One Eye Jack turns out to be a time displaced Dredd who lost his memory
.

Really enjoying this Dredd and a big fan of Niemand's ability to skip from lighthearted craziness to grim procedural and everything in between with his various Dredd tales. Only nitpick is how contemporary the vehicles look this week in the art.

Funny enough I had logged on to say the same thing - It looks like it's happening today.

So John Reppion says Storm Warning  set at same time as Strange and Darke and so I think this is actually in the past and 2137...

Because that is set so far - twenty years - I think we will find it's either not real or will turn out to be something where they end up traveling in time to avoid being a dark future.

It cannot be "real" because there is no chance that Dredd never encounters them again in the 'present'.

Storm Warming I just find weird because nothing in the narrative as far as I can tell needs it to be slightly in the future.

Maybe it's covered in the story and I missed it but why is Storm Warning set three years in the future of the Dreddverse present?

Funny the things that pull you out of a story - why are Dredd and Rico say behind small wood school desks from the 1950s - if they are doing a dissertation, well they have finished at the academy - why would they then be in class later?

The Brexit stuff is fine in Dredd but I don't find as a concept Mega-City 1 as this small sad-sack place that interesting.
