Really enjoyed these - got the Horned God as a result. Have subscribed to the youtube and podcast feeds too, there is a lot there I'm looking forward to catching up on!

This was definitely my favourite of the Regened Progs so far! Thought the standard was really high throughout, with Pandora and Dept K my favourites. Felt really luxurious as a comic, I know I would have loved it as a kid too.

Ah no I see what it was - they had emailed me a link to the downloads but my mail settings wouldn't let it through. Go me! Cool that you can't delete posts from here that make you seem a but silly.

... I think in The Out and Brink Dan Abnett has really raised the bar for character-driven thrills.

When you add The Out to the list of recent Dabnett thrills the vote that crowned him 'Ultimate Not Wagner' seems more on more timely. I can't think of a writer... with the notable exception ... who has produced so much, of such quality, at such a rate as Dabnett. The man is indeed a machine.

.... and if you add Lawless to the equation then it just stand-out what a great talent we have in him. Hopefully he can continue for a long-long time delivering quality works.

I somehow contrived to forget about Lawless, the strip that single handedly returned my dad to comics aged 73.

Another excellent prog this week! It's really on a great streak just now.

Best ep of the Dredd story so far I thought, really horrifying! The artwork is just wonderful too, love the elongated figures and swirling winds.

FTB and The Out again my favourites. I think in The Out and Brink Dan Abnett has really raised the bar for character-driven thrills.

Games / Re: The Board Game Thread

I'm sure I'll be repeating earlier chat here but I recently picked up the Cursed Earth card game and really enjoyed it. I'd played the Lost Expedition game before and massively enjoyed that too. Plus the art is sensational! Any other fans of this out there? I have the old Dredd board and RPG games on my shelf too, sadly never played!!

Mensch - are you able to offer any word on frequency? Is Pat waiting to see how issue 01 sells before committing to 02 or is there a plan for the future?

6 months till the second. But that is an estimation based on the time taken working on the first phase. The second should be more straight forward as the characters and their world have already been established. Obviously it'll depend on whether it'll be a hit or not and the feedback we'll get from readers.
That is pretty much in line with the French model that Pat mentioned. My friend working for Dargaud is contractually obliged to deliver two albums a year, roughly 60 something pages each.

Spacewarp is basically an album in terms of content.

This is not a model I'm familiar with but I love the idea - refining and polishing an album of content over time in the same way as a record or something. The extra time lets you add all the bits and bobs in between the stories and curate it all carefully.

I really enjoyed issue #1, it was absolutely bursting with ideas and the art was tremendous throughout!

Ah yeah I think I have that actually! Yet to try it though. I should say as much as I love them I am terrible at completing them.

Tried it again! Apologies if this doesn't work, I have never done message boards. I will retreat into the Cursed Earth if I have posted another duff link.

Thanks.

....and this is one I started for the Dredd competition. Same story - finished it to 80%, then suddenly lost all enthusiasm for it. Came back to it now, 18ish months later to finally finish it. One of those where the final inks and colours seemed to destroy all of the energy of the original sketch and I had to restart it from scratch multiple times. For some reason I like it much better in just black and white - might go back and take another stab at adding colours later.

I absolutely love this. Reminds me of Hunt Emerson a bit!
