Pat Mills has just announced that he is giving away part 1 of his new book "Kiss My Axe! Sláine The Warped Warrior: The Secret History", all you need to do to receive this is to have purchased a copy of "Goodnight, John Boy" or you will get this when you buy a copy.

Here's part of the email he sent out via his Millsverse website

Greetings from the Red Branch!

I've just finished Part One of Kiss My Axe! Sláine The Warped Warrior: The Secret History, and I'm giving it away for free to everyone who buys (or has already bought) a copy of Goodnight, John-boy.

You guys get a heads up before everyone else – by virtue of being on my mailing list!

All you have to do is send me your proof of purchase: a copy of the receipt – or if you don't have it any more, a pic of you with the paperback or ebook is fine.

And I'll send you a download link. Simple as that.

By the way, I absolutely love Alex Ronald's Kiss My Axe cover, I think it's even better than his Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave! Quite strange to have my own eyes staring out at me ...

Below is a bit more info about what you can find in Part One: Sláine The Wanderer, but first just let me say that the complete book is quite a way off: I'm backed up with projects and unlikely to get started on Parts Two, Three & Four until much later in the year. So it'll probably be early 2019 before Kiss My Axe - the complete works, is published.

404 Ink and BHP Comics have teamed up to bring you WE SHALL FIGHT UNTIL WE WIN, a graphic novel celebrating a century since the first wave of women gained the right to vote in the UK, and the many pioneering women who are part of the ongoing fight since 1918.
They will be taking a few women from each decade in the last 100 years and telling their stories in colourful, illustrated snapshots – some stories are well known, some less so – all worthy of note.
They want to create a reminder of how far women's rights have come over a century and, conversely, where we have left to go. We're looking back to the women who shaped our current climate or trailblazed.
From suffragettes like Emmeline Pankhurst and Sophia Duleep Singh, through the defining 'firsts' in politics like Nancy Astor, the first female member of Parliament, and Diane Abbott, the first black woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons, to many of the women campaigning and heading up politics today, this graphic novel brings together a mix of creators across the UK to illustrate the numerous stories from the last century.
Creators involved include Sabeena Akhtar, Hannah Berry, Jenny Bloomfield, Kathryn Briggs, Wei Ming Kam, Shazleen Khan, Charlot Kristensen, Denise Mina, Durre Shahwar and Grace Wilson.

whilst at LSCC I was talking to the guys from BHP comics & they are looking into reprinting Bob the Galactic Bum written by Alan Grant and John Wagner and illustrated by Carlos Ezquerra.

To get around copyright problems they are looking at changing Lobo to a new character and it may be in black & white instead of colour as the original series was

If you think that they should reprint this they are asking people what they think of the idea so please contact them to ley them know what you think about this & if you think they should make a second series of Rok of the Reds
