I'm already getting harassed regarding a Christmas wish list, which normally contains several graphic novels.
What to choose, what to choose....?

Greg M's favourable 5 Star Amazon review for Monster has just clinched the top of that wish list.

Well this has finally got to the top of the read pile (the read pile is getting shorter but taking longer for things to reach the top! Need to dedicate more time to comics it would seen!). Its a wondeful read.

First a book of nearly all Jesus Redondo art - okay the reproduction isn't always as crisp as it might be, no doubt due to the source material, but the grim, vibrant edges of Redondo's masterful art still absolutely sing and its a visual treat.

The story is what it is, a thrilling dark action from an 80s kids comic. But its told with guile, craft and a healthy dose of very dark humour. It rattles along and interestingly does over stay its welcome as I thought it might at alsomost 50 episodes. I was alos pleasently surprised by the
happy ending
conclusion.

If you've not read this do.
