Your thread is my first port of call when visiting this forum.

The Gronk and Walter, superb, as is the Jaroo. Glad to see you took a punt on using Skulpey, it's such a  versatile material.
Best of all you can rework your sculpture as much as you like until you're happy it. What's more unlike Milliput there is no time restraint, just cover it in Clingfilm and you can work on your piece over a few days.
Great idea adding flexible arms to Walter, and you have captured the personality
of the Gronk perfectly.

How about some start to finish pics of your creations, would be great to see
your methods and progress as your project works to completion.

Anyway as you asked so nicely to see other creations, here's another one of my past pieces.

https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=39186.msg783363#msg783363

Which was sculpted from scratch using Sculpey.
Thanks atp

Yes I did enjoy using sculpty and on one or more occasions I threw the toys out the pram doing Walter and started again which would have been impossible with milliput. Though it's still useful filling in those gaps when assembling.
I will be using sculpty again (and I have a few figures in mind) but I need to finish an ABC warrior that I started converting from a Batman kit way back last October and I've been using milliput.

By the way your Mean is awesome the facial expression and details all over him are great. The paint job is superb.
How long you been making these?
I've always dabbled in painting models and mini's but only started converting with my Hammerstein and slowly found the confidence to do more and start from scratch (ro-jaws , Hoagy, Gronk and now Walter). I was frustrated at the lack of 2000AD model kits that weren't Dredd/Death/Anderson so I had to take matters into my own hands. 😂😂😂

If anyone is new to the board and interested in modelling I recommend looking at atp's links on this thread there's a fantastic Dredd a couple of pages back.

Once again if anyone else has made or converted anything to a 2000AD (in fact anything) post it here and share with the board.

1st up is a comparison of 2 John Higgins sketches. The Dredd one I got in 2019 and the Judge Glover I got this year - by all accounts this was only the 2nd time it has been requested. Watching him add in the details was amazing.

And I have the 1st Judge Glover, must have been a bit before you on Sunday! John said it was the first request for Glover he had had.

Superb and hopefully he gets many more requests as (🤞🏻) Dreadnoughts get more runs.

Eventually uploaded some of my Favourite Sketches I got done at Lawless.

1st up is a comparison of 2 John Higgins sketches. The Dredd one I got in 2019 and the Judge Glover I got this year - by all accounts this was only the 2nd time it has been requested. Watching him add in the details was amazing.

2nd one is Judge Desperate Dan by Lew Stringer- like I said perviously it would be great to see him do a wee strip in Regened

3rd is a mashup from Dan Cornwell of Rok (of the reds) morphing from impersonating Dredd - for those that have read the Rok books I love the idea of a mini Dredd running about trying to get back to his rightful size.

Lastly is one of my Fav ABC warriors from Clint Langley - Mongrol - I wish I had seen him at work but I left my Sketch book with him while I was at a couple of panels.

All the sketches, including the others from Ian Richardson, Steven Austin, Lee Carter and Mike Dorey I got done are great and when you these guys work it is amazing to us mere mortals how they bring these to the pages so quickly.

Bloody hell, episode 3 was intense. We always knew that Vader was a badass, but
snapping a child's neck
was next level intense.

I totally understand he has to be ruthless/evil to build up the myth that became Vader but  I never got this  line "there is good in him" especially after episode iii and his slaughter of the Tusken's and younglins at the Jedi Temple. I never felt there was true redemption for all that he had done.

Still enjoy the franchise though

Here's that Lew Stringer Mean Machine.
I really think Lew should be doing something like this in Regened.

I love that Barrington - I'll hopefully get round to posting my Judge Dan later tonight.
And agreed that Lew could do something in Regened.

Well, that was great. On the train home (lettering an episode of Hope for the prog, as it happens) after a top weekend. Managed to sign a bunch of stuff for quite a few folks on the Sunday, but apologies to anyone who missed me on the Saturday — when John Wagner nicks your table, you don't argue. :-)

If we do this again next year and you want something signing, or just to say hello, collar me wherever you see me. Don't worry if it looks like I'm talking to someone, the other person will probably be glad of the opportunity to make a getaway.

It was great to meet the legend that is Jim Campbell and thanks for signing my RoK books. 👍🏻
It was my 2nd Lawless and really enjoyable once again- I was more relaxed this time as getting use to seeing all the comic talent from tooth and everyone is so friendly punters and Guests.

Sue and her team do a fantastic job organising.

🤞🏻 It happens next year and my diary is empty so I can get a hat-rick. 😁

I'm now back home - had a great time at this today and love to meet and chat to you McFad.
Hopefully this will happen next year again and I can stay for a drink or two.

Great to meet you and your good lady Barrington I've had a great day as well.
Certainly have a drink or 2 next year if I'm all down.

P.S. I love my Judge Dan (Descartes) as much as your Mean Machine by Lew.

I shouldn't try and type without my glasses on  "(Descartes)" should read (Desperate)  😂😂😂
