Definitely Not Mister Pops

Sad But True, but Mongolian, thus 1,000,003% more metal.
You may quote me on that.

I have, it's great! Not a track I'd normally have said was a good one to cover, but Ulver never cease to impress me.

50ft Wave's cover of Kristen Hersh's own 'Your Ghost' - how did I not know this existed? Kinda weird to cover your own song, but at the same time kinda amazing!

Blimey, this is great! Though not better than Bauhaus, The Hunger version (which is quite rare to find).

I missed rogue69's original post on this and have only just checked the video out, and you're right — it is great. I give this cover version my approval as The Gothest Man in Comics™. :-)

I love the fact that it takes a song which has strong tone and feel, feels so defined by its mood and atmosphere and twists that entirly to add completely new meaning.

Its a bit like Flaming Lips version of Kylie's 'Can't get you out of my head'

I've been enjoying this disco-funk take on Dancing in the Street by The Grateful Dead. A toe-tapping start to Monday! https://youtu.be/eV16Ysr03Vw

Yeah, it's definitely doing its own thing! I think I like it but it was pertty jarring being used to the original.

Laibach have a long tradition of splendid cover versions — they're all quite, quite mental but also brilliant.
