Here's the blurb. A new Star Trek TV series with Science Officer Spock, Captain Pike and Number One aboard the USS Enterprise I do believe.

Cautiously optimistic for this but I think Spock is seriously mis-cast.
The article says Spock as played by that actor in Discovery was popular enough with the fans that they asked for a spin-off, so I'm sure it will be fine.
This was the show they promised five years ago, and then went out of their way to avoid making. Much as I liked Mount as Pike, there is zero reason to be optimistic about this.
Fingers crossed it is actually 'Star Trek.'
Let's have a look at the creative types involved in producing this.
Ah.
Right.
I'm not terribly excited by this news.
Mount and Romijn are both great in their roles, and Peck wasn't totally terrible, but I can't help thinking we've got the milk already - do we really need to buy the cow? I'd love to see a Pike series with this cast, but the current Trek TV environment isn't going to give me one I'm likely to enjoy.
