For the brigade which do not read (hate) the regen stuff quite easily DO NOT READ IT, skip it - that is what I have done with any of the floppies/reprint strips off the past if it did not fancy me.

I like the idea now it is going to be released every month and it will not break-up the prog run.

I think maybe it is to do that in the meg you can measure its popularity and know if it is going to worthwhile releasing it as a TPB. Going straight to TPB you might not be sure how well it will sell

A very good prog which showcase a lot of diverse stories and art – top notch line-up high five here

Dredd – Creepy stuff as Nick Percival is the perfect candidate to paint these scenes.  I saw some people complaining that /Dredd isa bit of a prick but that is how I enjoy his being (he is not a hero he is the Law). Enjoying this run.

Intestinauts – Some interesting developments as we are pulled further into the story. Interesting concept on how the first part is depicted – I feels like back in days when Diceman was still active.

3riller – A very good start to the 3riller and I am already pulled into the world. As the story progress we are intrigued and fascinating to where this is heading. Now, the biggest problem we these 3-parterts for me normally is how to end lands (it can make or break the story)

Brink  – Kurtis are shown more of the habitat and the signs related to the sect (and if you were ever shown how they produce certain products you will be "cured" for life).  Excellent episode, slow burn action at its best.

Vex – Some great world building continues as we are apprised how the Citheronian Queen got her power and how she literally ensured her dominion (but Midnight has something to say about that). Brilliant episode, Vexless episodes keep on pushing the envelope.

adding to this it will have a more regular run as well

Interesting move. Basically it is just replacing the reprints (which in most cases I have not read at all)

The weirdest thing for me is that is still find Alan Moore's prog work superior than his American work. His Future Shocks were some of the best (if not the best) short stories ever published. Dr & Quinch still put a smile to my mouth when I revisited it. Halo Jones I still rate as his best work ever. So British Moore beats American Moore everyday of the week.

A read a Swamp Thing comics when it came out but it was nothing that sticked for me. Again this might be a case of my younger days certain things I just did not find appealing enough. Not sure if I want to add another item to my ever-growing backlog jam.

Hi

Yes indeed the prog is in a very good space. It is good to have such a diverse line-up the only letdown of this is sometimes the waiting period can be a long time (looking at you Brass Sun)

Quote from: The Monarch on 17 May, 2024, 02:28:21 PMi could have sworn we already knew this was the last series months ago i recall some of us talking about how to get the series completed in the ultimate collection because of that news

Quite true, I even think that Mike Carroll mentioned on his twitter feed this but I think the problem is a lot of us is in denial since whom wants such an excellent story to end

It looks like I will have to get my hands on this then

Strange this is the one that got away. I only watched the movie which I enjoyed. Not sure how close it is to the source material
