Prog / Prog 2380 - By Steed and Steel...

Well the catch up is complete and I've not got much to say beyond what I did last two times. Damn this is a fantastic line-up.

Dredd - well the longer it goes on and I wonder more and more why its lasting so long, the more I'm actually enjoying this one. Weird!

Aquila - I mean you know what's coming, but still can't help punching the air when it lands!

Brink - Simply magnificent on every level. When did four people chatting in an intriguing lite room get quite this compelling?!?

Indigo Prime - just keeps ramming the wonderful ideas home hard. Loving this.

Proteus Vex - In any other Prog this would surely be the best thing by a mile but with Brink just chewing the pages up it has to settle for an astonishing second. Brilliant.

When a pretty damned decent Dredd is comfortably bottom of the pile you know Tharg is knockin' out the thrill park.

My guess is that if the Rogue movie lives up to its promise of "Avatar-quality special effects for a fraction of Avatar's budget", then they might end up going down the same route for the MC1 TV show, using very realistic CGI rather than live-action.

Had a couple of progs get lost in the dimensional oubliette of RM over the last few years.  One thing I will give subs is that they always sort out a replacement no quibble and PDQ.

yeah I've done that before but had to do it about a year ago and don't want to take the p*ss so decided to cope for it this time.

I think that was Sintec. Not sure it was their last post on the subject but you can find one on page 350, post #5242, from back in December 2021.

There's nothing we can do at our end

I don't know what the budget is for Rogue Trooper (I'd go out on a limb and say it's around £10m (if that), since no backers have been mentioned and maybe there's a large element of self-financing)

Even if Rogue found an audience, it will be cheaper than a CGI MC-1 - you have people in masks to cut the amount of facial animation, less variety in costumes than a typical MC-1 population, and the CGI equivalent of a quarry is less work than a full blown city.

Well I'm having one of those melancholy days. Just one of those cases where something feels...off inside.
I'll keep myself busy and hopefully it'll go away, I could really do without spiralling again.

Besides the fact but I hope folks who've been having a rough patch lately are doing well.
